Dear Rails, From one restauranteur to another, thank you for the outstanding service, food, and hospitality. After spending a... month in your fine city for work, I can honestly say Rails was my favorite local place to dine. Your staff is very caring andspends a lot of time talking to customers. They pay attention to detail and offer up great dishes and brews. Speaking ofdishes, I enjoyed the food at Rails - the Chicken and Waffles (WOW!), Boom Boom Shrimp Wrap (So YUMMY!), Wings (HUGE!), Nachos(VERY Large Portions!), and yes, even burgers. I’m very critical of burgers, as you can imagine, but Rails did an excellentjob crafting their burgers. In fact, I believe you can take it to the next level with a bit of creativity. I don’t say thatoften, so kudos to your staff and GM. Job well done. In closing, I want to say thank you for making me feel at home. You guyswere great. Sincerely, Neil, owner KirbyG’s Diner 2018 World Burger Champ PS. Shot this sunset on my last night in theHeartland. Funny thing. I was looking down the rails in front of Rails (the eatery) in the City known for the guy who singsabout “kids growing up in the heartland.” How fitting for a wonderful time at your establishment. Food and service was outstanding. The place was very clean and the decor was nice. Good craft beers too. Had pretzel nuggets and... beer cheese as an app. They were fantastic. Had the club sandwich. It was huge. And my wife had the tenderloin sandwich.Everything was fantastic. Well done Read more

Came here for a late lunch, and was excited about it, based on the reviews. It was pretty dead, being 2:00, thankfully missed... the lunch rush. Was promptly seated and asked for my drink order. I don't think my server was knew much about beer. Whenasked what was on tap, instead of directing me to the board behind me, asked if I liked light or dark. Hmmm.....eventually wentwith the Zombie Dust, the only thing offered when I narrowed it down to an IPA. Good enough. The menu was pretty limited, standard bar/pub fare. Nothing really interesting or imaginative. Went with the jalapeno popper burger and fries. The burgerwas decent, with plenty of jalapenos to keep it spicy, and didn't skimp on the cheese. Fries were hot and crispy, but slightlyoversalted. The service was kinda meh. Like they're just there. Maybe it was an off day or they just had a really busy lunch. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but I left a bit less excited than when I arrived. Wouldn't be mad about coming back, butwouldn't go out of my way for it again. Read more

Beautiful presentation on this salmon and spinach salad with berries. Served with raspberry vingarette that is refreshingly... tasty. Top off the meal with a craft beer. This lunch is a treat, enjoy. I have enjoyed this meal many times! . Read more

Been awhile since I've been to Seymour, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover this place. Fantastic building, great outdoor... spot. The food was ok, and I tried ordering a cocktail, but everything I ordered, they were out of ingredients to make it....andI'm just talking about Tito's and Lemonade (no lemonade)...Tito's and OJ (no OJ)....but overall, I enjoyed my birthday lunchthere and would give it another go, maybe I just went on a day were something unusual happened. The food was really good and the service was great! Our waiter, Josiah, gave us recommendations on what to get and was so... friendly and bubbly. He suggested the fried green beans, which were phenomenal, and the chicken fajita wrap, which was alsopretty good but a little spicy. We also got the pretzel bites with beer cheese, which were good but couldn't hold a candle tothe fried green beans, and some fantastic sweet potato waffle fries with caramel sauce. Then we got this artfully toppedcheesecake that was the cherry on top of a great dinner out. Weirdly enough, even the tap water was really good (and I'm kind ofpicky about water). I highly recommend eating here, especially if you can get a waiter as nice and helpful as ours! Read more
