???????????????????? 10 out of 10! Why is this place not packed??? This spot is a gem! Staff is very friendly and... accommodating (we showed up less that an hour before close) Sushi Sashimi and Rolls are all on point. Beautiful plates andportions were big! We loved it so much we came back the very next night! This time we got 2 special bento boxes and a roll. There was so much food we couldn’t finish it and it was delicious. We ordered 30 minutes before close, staff was still supernice. I wish we lived close, we were only here for the comicon. This would be our go to spot! ????Roses ???????????????????? Read more

It was our first visit to this restaurant. I like to try different local restaurants. The host was friendly. Guests were dining... in and it was clean. We decided against the Hibachi Grill entree because we didn’t want the soup and salad. Therefore, weordered two side orders of fried rice, and two side orders of steak. We were told up front the prices had changed compared towhat we saw on the take-out menu. I did not realize the steak portion was so small. It was 2.2 oz. The amount of rice was what Ihad expected. The steak was a little dry and one bite of meat was undercooked. I tried to save a little bit of money butoverall, it was not worth the money. I’d like to know how many ounces of steak are in that meal. I’m not a sushi fan andI’m sure they sell a lot of that and it’s probably good. Read more

Awful! We had a party of 7. We got seated right away. That was the only good thing. Took 30 mins to get our drink order taken!!... And that was after I went and asked to get drink orders taken. After we finally got our drinks they took our order. Food was ok.No forks so two of us had to eat with hands/ spoons. Service is super slow, hot as hell and I even got sick after ward. Firstand last time there!! Read more

Delicious sushi and beautiful presentation. We had the angry dragon roll, chicken bento box, green dragon roll, harumaki and... crab Rangoon. Everyone was happy. This is high quality sushi and it's right here in Shakopee. Definitely go! Read more

I've come to this restaurant frequently over the last 5 or more years. I always get the Chicken Fried Rice and an order of... Volcano Rolls. The chicken fried rice and any other hibachi style food is genuinely a great part of Tokyo Sushi's menu. I'vetried a lot of other restaurants in the twin cities area and have to say they make my favorite chicken fried rice ever. Theyserve it with yum yum sauce, which to me is the best combo for their fried rice. Now to speak on their sushi, I believe this iswhere I can see where it could go wrong looking through the various reviews at Tokyo Sushi. Any rolls they serve that aretempura or essentially cooked like their spider roll or volcano roll are fantastic every single time, although the volcano rollmay look slightly daunting to a person with minimal experience eating sushi rolls. As for the more true to sushi rolls, Ipersonally don't have a great enjoyment eating non-tempura sushi here, so I wouldn't recommend a raw fish food here if you'renew to Tokyo Sushi and don't have a good entre to pair it with. Ultimately, if you can handle eating at Kyoto's all you can eatsushi, Tokyo Sushi will maintain a similar, respectable quality. That being said, I still come back from Minneapolis to eat atTokyo Sushi, because they have amazing food, service, hospitality, and respect for their customers. If you're willing to try outthe best hibachi/tempura sushi you'll have in the area, you must dine-in at Tokyo Sushi ASAP. I cannot recommend it enough. Alsoif you made it this far on my unnecessarily long review, I hope you have a great day! Read more

It doesn't look like much from the outside but this place is a hidden little gem. The sushi is amazing and gets better every... time we come and service is good and very friendly. I've seen comments about to-go food and can't comment on that, but in therestaurant we have been nothing but happy. Hard to decide which rolls to get as so many are so good! We moved farther away butstill come back to Tokyo to get our sushi fix. We were there last night and they made our daughter's birthday very special. Thank you Tokyo! Read more
