I can't believe I've lived in Cincinnati for almost 7 years now and have never been to The Root Beer Stand! Made the trek over... to try it for the first time today on their last day of the season. I ordered a footlong chili/cheese coney, a bag of chips, anda root beer float. Total was a little over $11. I've never been a huge fan of coneys but decided to give theirs a try and reallyenjoyed it! It's messy though so make sure you have napkins handy. The root beer float was super yummy too. I'm wishing I wouldhave ordered some of the root beer to take home. I arrived a little before 11am (when they open) and there was already severalcars in the parking lot waiting for them to open. Once in line, it moved super fast and I got my order within 5 minutes. Plentyof parking and outdoor picnic tables to eat at. They also have a small bar area for full service dining and a playground forkids to play at. Definently a spot I will visit again once they open back up next season! Read more
This is an iconic place that has added on with some updates. Great hot dogs and of course root beer. Had fun playing some old... school games while we waited. Rootbeer to take home was a must! Read more
My parents took me here as a kid and today I took my kids and nephew. I still love it. It has the old feel still even though... they have updated a little. They've added more seating, a playground and its still a great menu. We had great service today andreally enjoyed the atmosphere. Of course my kids said the root beer was the best part. Read more
Summertime and nice weather means you'll have a difficult time finding a parking spot! Order ahead if you're in a rush. There... are plenty of shaded seats/tables available (more than pictured). The playground kept the kids busy while we waited. The foodwas good and the root beer was delicious. I'm not sure I would wait in line for it again, though. Read more
A taste of my childhood. The footlongs are very consistent and delicious. Would have given a 5-star if they still had diet/sugar... free rootbeer. It seems like they are faster at getting food out than I can ever remember.... which is always a great thing! Read more
Good but have had better. There is a similar Root Beer Stand in Corbin, KY which has better food selections but they only serve... ice cream floats for dessert and don't have outside seating. Read more
Old fashioned root beer stand with burgers and hot dogs. Prices are low and the food is good! There is no indoor seating... available so you can either eat outside or in your car. There is often a line to order, but it moves quickly. Great place totake the family on a nice day for an inexpensive meal. Read more
Stopped here on our way to Columbus after a weekend in Cincinnati and it?s so worth the stop! Such a neat place with plenty of... outdoor seating if you don?t want to make a mess in your car. Employees are friendly and helpful and our order came out superfast. We ordered root beer and red cream soda floats that were delicious. I had a YOLO moment and ordered the Timmy Dog that Iwasn?t too fond of but that?s more of my fault for ordering something with ingredients I knew I wouldn?t like. Read more
