Expectations were high per recommendations from friends and they were met. Great atmosphere and food! The medallion steaks were... amazing! The basic sides were a little bland, but still tasty. Service was a little slow, but lots of staff walking around, still attentive tho Read more

Great lunch. Brisket tacos were very unique. Others in our group ordered prime rib and steaks, which all looked fantastic.... Appetizers took over 30 minutes to come out (not a big deal to us) but management came out and said they would be comped for thewait. Definitely unnecessary, but a great example of going above and beyond for your customer. Will return! Read more

Loved the bar menu. Have not tried the main dining area yet but plan to do so. Had the chicken fried over mashed potatoes. Wife... just had a salad with house dressing. Said it was the best salad she has ever had. Mine was wonderful. Very reasonably priced!Great service as well. Read more

We went for Father's Day so I can say it was very busy. A little more noisy than usual I imagine. The food was outstanding. The... beef was topnotch. Sides were plentiful, horseradish was perfect traditional We had the KC strip and prime rib. The service wasgood in as much as they always made everything right. There was a lot of mistakes though. They got my wife's two sides wrong.Replaced them though. Clearly our order sat for too long and was less than piping hot. The "loaded" baked potato was not reallyloaded, especially for an expensive steak house. All in there was less than two tablespoons of cheese, bacon, and sour cream. The pricing was strange too. They did not have a surf and turf option. You are forced to buy the 6 oz lobster tail a la cartewhich means the price of a third meal without the meal. Her main course ran better than 70 bucks. They advertised free dessertfor Father's Day and we ordered that as well as the soup to take home. Turns out the dessert we wanted was not on the list offree dessert so that was another 9 bucks. She did offer to give me another free dessert from the list to take home and when webroke into it later I had two carrot cakes. Oh, and they didn't honor the daily special so we paid full price for the prime rib. When you step back it looks like the negatives outweighed the positives. The food was so good I might be willing to take thatone hour drive again. Read more

For a party of five we ordered a variety of steaks. We had reservations for 7pm and had a fantastic server. All of the side... dishes were tasteful and were served hot. I have always enjoyed this particular restaurant for its food and service. Highlyrecommended for dates and special occasions Read more

I had looked forward to Hereford House since my visit in 1999 as a kid to the original. Kansas strip was split between two.... Sides are good. But, steak was mostly fat and grissel. Decent taste, but just not what I remember. The service was just fine. Not spectacular as I recall. Read more

The atmosphere is cold and kind of sterile with bright white led bulbs. We were initially seated in some back room where we... asked to be moved. The steaks were fine but for $100 a plate, there are far better restaurants in KC. Read more

2nd restaurant week dining. Hereford House off Midland & 435 is conveniently located with plenty of private parking. Promptly... seated and drinks promptly served. Great 'restaurant week' menu with the steakburger being my favorite. This isn't your fastfood dining, so had to wait awhile for the burger, but the result was a juicy(not too juicy) very delicious and per the pic(s) ahearty burger. $15 for burger, fries & fudge brownie (+2.50 for iced tea), this was a very positive experience. Shout-out toIsrael for his attentive service. Read more
