The best barbecue in Kansas City. It is a random location but it is worth the drive. The sauce is typical Kansas City sweet, but... it has a little bit of a kick to it. Not spicy, just delicious. Now I want a brisket and pork sandwich, since I?m sitting herethinking about it. Oh and the fries! Who knew a barbecue restaurant would have such good fries? Read more

This place, is just as good as Joe's, Gates, Bryant's, Q39 ect! This place is a hidden gem, that all the locals in Shawnee,... can't get enough of! The slabs are $15 ( Thursday/Sunday) the fries are handcut, & the sides are homemade! The staff is alwaysfriendly, & welcoming & the bbq is amazing! The ribs can be plain ( no sauce ) if you want that! The beer is cheap too! Ifyou're into that stuff ???? Read more

We are Barbecue snobs. Let?s just put that out there. Texas and North Carolina are where we gained a lot of our background,... where smoked meats are an absolute art, as are sauces. We are THOSE people. The meats here are perfectly cooked. Tender, wellsmoked, and seasoned to a T. The true test of barbecue is whether you need sauce or not. This place has amazing sauce, and wegrabbed a few cups of it to go with our meal, and didn?t use any of it. The food is. That. Good. We walked out with threebottles of sauce, which are made in-house and sold at a great price. The atmosphere inside is very nice, and honestly, when yousee a few cords of wood siting by the door when you walk in, you know you are in barbecue heaven. Read more

We came in with a large group today. The food was prepared fast and employees were so nice! I got the pulled pork sandwich and... fries. It's probably my favorite pulled pork from any BBQ place. I loved the spicy sauce. Would have been a deal breaker if Ididn't. Thanks, BCB! Read more

I accidentally ended up here and the experience was better than any place I've eaten on many trips back to KC. The food and... service was amazing. The ribs and burnt ends excellent. Fresh cut fries yummy. The young men were all so personable and helpfulmaking my choice. I had the mixed grille listed under sandwiches but you can eat it as a sandwich with the burnt ends and 2nice meaty ribs or as a meal. Excellent sauce but would order on the side. They offer a spicy as well. By far my newfavorite. I'll be back! Read more

Good food, reasonable prices, a homey atmosphere and great friendly service. We had the Thursday specials...a whole slab of... ribs for $15 and a burnt end sandwich for $6.95. Both were favorable. Ribs were a bit fatty but the burnt ends had greatsmokey flavor. Read more

Classic, Midwest, hickory-smoked barbecue. One word - delicious! Had slice brisket, burnt ends, and fall-off-the-bone ribs. Not... sure what the special occasion was, but $1 long necks. -0.1 star for Pepsi products, but good ice tea. And the sauce wasexcellent. This reminded me of Hayward?s in its hay day. Also love the fast-casual dining room with license plate and sportsdecor - all Chiefs and Royals. Read more
