People may complain about prices, but having lived in bigger cities, Paul's Place comparatively offers the same quality food at... a cheaper price. Expect steakhouse prices at dinner time, but I'm always amazed at the quality and value of their lunch specials(usually under $7). My recommendation: chicken sandwich or steak burger of the month for lunch, peppercorn beef medallions fordinner. Read more
Paul's Place is a beacon in this town. While Shawnee is not typically considered a "small" town, it has very few of the... mid-size city amenities. Paul's Place is the nicest sit down restaurant in town The food is always hot, fresh and so good. The staff is wonderful and you are always made to feel welcomed and appreciated when you are there. Great tender steaks. Cooked exactly as you ordered. Beautifully appointed decor. Nice ambience. Good attentive service. Tucked... away behind a strip mall area. We almost missed it. Glad we didn't. Very disappointed. Celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary and Paul's Place had highest rated for a steakhouse. My husband and... I each ordered the16 oz prime rib med-well. It was 50% fat, rare, chewy, no taste at all. As one of my side dished, I ordered abaked sweet potatoe. It was 1/2 of a potatoe. I now wish I had just cooked. Read more
