Asked for a calzone, yet this quote-on-quote "pizza" place does not carry the edible cousins of the pizza. Was utterly... disappointed that I did not eat breakfast this morning, when honestly this trip to Papa John's was the only thing keeping megoing this week. I tried to talk to an employee, and when they attempted to kick me out of the store, I stripped naked (as onedoes) and ran around the kitchen with my "pepperoni meat" hanging about. Now have a pending charge and a possibly felony. Avoidthis location, and instead opt for the more upstanding businesses in the KC metro area, such as Funhouse Pizza in Lee's Summit. Read more
I was very impressed with this Papa John's. There is so much snow on the ground and many other food places are closed. This... young woman was the only one in the shop today, had close to 50 pizzas to make and she was just knocking it out. The wait timeswere longer than usual of course, but it's great to see a wonderful employee like this who is still courteous, shows up whenmany other people use the snow as an excuse to skip work and works hard even when it gets tough. I?m thoroughly impressed with this papa johns! I checked my bank account this morning for something unrelated, but was happy to... see that they refunded me the delivery fee I didn?t have to pay for coming to pick up my order instead. I was happy to have keptit the way it was originally paid because I know that sometimes people don?t always tip as well as others. My order on January 7 was delivered cold. I don't mean that it was slightly cooled because of the cold weather, but it was next... day refrigerator leftovers cold. It was not delivered in an insulated pizza bag, the cheese had already hardened, and the crustwas stiff and hard. If that delivery alone had been the basis, for my rating, I'd have left one star. This location normallydelivers hot (or at least warm in cold weather). It was just cold and disappointing tonight. And there didn't seem to be anydifference between the New York style pizza and the regular pizza we ordered, other than size, so I don't know what the hype wasabout that. Same crust, different size. I ordered Shaq-a-roni pizza for delivery and I was disappointed by how much caked up flour was on the (back) crusts of every... slice of pizza. Taking a bite and having flour swirl around in your mouth is very disgusting. We tried to scrap off as muchflour as possible but basically just ate the toppings or ripped off the floured pieces. I?ve had pizza from this place onnumerous occasions and this by far was the worst experience. I gave two stars because the wings were delicious other than thatit would of received a 1 star. Just got carryout from this Papa John's for the first time. It was the most perfectly cooked Papa John's I've had. Speed was... on point and the staff was extremely friendly. We even ordered one pizza with special sauce and cheese restrictions, and thepizza was made exactly as specified. Hard to beat a carryout special of 8 bucks for a large!
