Lots of yummy seafood to choose from on the menu. Service was good. We didn't wait too long for our orders. It was quiet the day... we visited this restaurant. Our server was friendly and the parking was street parking. The decor is very historic as is thebuilding with all its old crown mouldings. Lots to look at and seating was comfortable. We run a vacation suite in town, and recommend ships galley as a restaurant that is reasonably priced, has an extensive menu,... and a place we love too. Great little pub! Nice, relaxing atmosphere. Friendly, attentive staff. We felt a sense of "family" while there. Huge menu.... Large orders of clams and chips (handcut chips). About a dozen of the 1974 graduating class of SRHS met for a fun supper at the Ship's Galley. What a fun time and the food was... amazing as usual. I always order a two piece fish and chips and bring a piece home for later. I forgot to take a picture of myplate but I did get one of my take home piece with the homemade tarter sauce. I’ve been to The Ship’s Galley more times than I can count over the last 5 years. The service is lovely - friendly and... gracious. The food is really great pub food. The burgers are delicious and the fries are as good as Bud The Spud used to be -which if you’re from NS you know is high praise! Fish tacos are my favourite - ask for the special house made hot sauce - buteverything on the menu is delightful. I’ve never had a bad experience here. In fact, I just talked myself into going hereagain tomorrow night. Read more

Wow amazing food! The cook definitely really puts their heart into it! The fish for fish and chips was nicely seasoned with... lemon before frying. My "captain's breakfast" eggs were perfect and seasoned gently. Very reasonable prices, too. Read more
