One of the most beautiful places I have ever been in my life. The interior is spectacular and the views of the lake are even... more spectacular. Probably the single most beautiful place on the entire east coast. So tasteful and so special. Read more

The barn where they make cheese needs to be better marked. No entrance sign. Pick a door. I went in to the one that said... managers office. I got to where everything is. Bakery needs directions to also. Read more

Beautiful yet a little /lot rustic but elegant. Gorgeous former Vanderbilt home. The staff is 5 star but understated, helpful... and professional. Comfortable beds and lovely to gorgeous rooms. Fires in the fireplaces, unusual and creative menu in thedining room. We were all quite happy. Barns, bakery and cheesemaking on the expansive grounds. Read more

A chance conversation with the person who issued tickets for the farm visit resulted in my husband and me having a wonderful... meal at the farm inn. We had dinner out on the patio, the sun had just gone down and the view was out of this world. The serviceexcellent and the food was so delicious. The lamb and beef that we ordered together with the sides was the best we have hadanywhere. The beef was cooked to perfection and the lamb was so tender. They graciously obliged to my husband?s request toswap the sides and the servers suggestion of the lemon caramel was the icing on the cake. It?s well worth the price and wewould love to go again. My wife and I have stayed here 3 times over the past years and enjoy coming back to this gem on Lake Champlain, and we also... leave looking forward to our next visit. It is beautiful both inside and out, and the vast grounds (1,400 acres) are made forwalking, running, biking, and exploring. We were here recently on a hot weekend, but even without a/c, our room on the secondfloor, which was very spacious, was comfortable with just a couple of fans. While I?m rating it 5 stars, I would give it 4stars because I think the food is a little over-priced, though very good, but I?d also give it 6 stars (if I could) for theamazing surroundings that you will find yourself taking in as you walk the grounds or kayak on the lake, as we did, and breathin the fresh Green Mountain air. We waited 5 years to go back for this last visit, but I think we will return again much sooner. Read more

Food was amazing! Definitely expensive but worth it. I would suggest sharing plates to get the best bang for your buck. Ask the... waitstaff for suggestions and advice because these cooks are always coming up with something interesting and new. Not to glossit over but all their food is grown on site and the farm to table ingredients are splendid! Read more
