I booked a reservation here on a whim after a long hiking trip and was genuinely impressed with the food. The menu was inventive... and inspired, but not in an intimidating way, and the dishes I ordered came out better and with more originality than comparabledishes I have tried. For example, they prepared the beet tartare with a creamy dill sauce and (what I think was) fried shallots.The combination of textures, flavors, and freshness was excellent. I was really struck by how well balanced and nuanced the dishwas and immediately noted the quality. Given the caliber of the food, the prices were substantially lower than anticipated.Highly recommend coming here. Read more
The place is really interesting. They had real candles and flowers at all the tables. The dining room is intimate and... interesting. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Everyone are such hard workers here. The foot was greatbut they need more help in the kitchen to get the food out faster. It was interesting that when we left there were rose petalsat the entrance. Gypsy Apple has an area in the back with four outdoor tables. The tables are under an awning providing protection from the... elements. It is a nice set up for pandemic time safe dining. Our appetizers muscles and shrimp/scallop were flavorful. The mainenters were overcooked (requested medium rare, received medium well). The flavors were good but a bit chewy due to overcooking.
