Tried to go for dinner tonight at 7p. It closes at 8p on Sunday. We stood at the host stand for about 10-15 minutes and were not... acknowledged at all. We saw people in the back chatting and walking but no response. No wonder it was empty. Prices looked highfor what was offered but we wanted to give it a try. The place was beautifully decorated, it's really a shame. But I see whyit's not rated highly. We likely won't be back to try again. Read more
Service is never good unfortunately. Food has become average with a premium price. Great atmosphere and potential but somewhere... ownership seems to have lost the desire and commitment it takes to make it work. Hopefully ownership will be more hands onduring dinner hours on the floor.. Read more
Sat at the bar on a Sunday afternoon. Had the smoked wings and hush puppies. My wife had the Gouda grilled cheese and stew. ... Our food was great. Would definitely return. Our bartender Blake was awesome. Super friendly and accommodating. Madeexcellent drinks for us. Definitely plan on making this a regular spot! ***Not sure about all the racism talk in reviews. Best place in Shelby to eat! Great atmosphere and we always go with people of color and have NEVER had any issues there ever !... We have always felt welcomed and enjoyed our time there! I will not ever believe all the hate people are trying to throw around! Read more
New bbq restaurant. I will honestly say the food is to be desired. Ours came out cold twice. Deviled eggs are runny, pork was... bland and cold. My brisket was cold, the pita was cold and dry. 2 thumbs down. Keep trying. Staff is awesome though. Read more
First time at Izzi's...Thursday night and we were escorted to a table in the bar. Bar srea noisy and full...atomsphere was nice... with all the exposed brick. We waited at least 25 minutes before anyone approached our table. I wanted ribs however informedthey were out so settled on a pork sandwich. My husband ordered a burger. We waited 40 minutes for our food...we entertained thethought of canceling the order and going somewhere else. Portions are small and presentation unappealing...prices are high. Thepork samdwich small but good..burger so so..both items came with homemade chips that desperately needed salt. If you wanted toupgrade to another side it was an additional 2.50. Very nice place, parking isn't the best because it's in town, you have to park by the road. I'd car pool or take a smaller... vehicle. Food tasted awesome, I just wished it was hot, moreover, we waited 30 min when they wasn't busy for our food. The WindyHill Street band was awesome and the reason I'd give this place a second chance!
