Outstanding. Stopped for a quick bite en route to the mountains and so glad we did. Some of the best fajitas I?ve ever had in... NC. Flour tortillas definitely made in house. Everything was very flavorful. Carnitas we?re also very good. They use a uniquespice in their recipe that made them taste just a little bit different (in a good way) compared to most carnitas. The place wasvery busy but the service was very good and food came out super fast. Definitely recommend and wouldn?t hesitate to come back. Read more

Quite unimpressive. Decided to sit at the bar for a quick dinner and a beer. So much for that idea. Took me 10 minutes to get a... beer, had to ask multiple times to order dinner with only 5 other customers at the bar. Chips and salsa are weak at best. Barservice was weak. No management presence or help from other staff with an obviously under qualified bartender. Food was meh, ok,nothing to write home about and served on a chipped plate. I can see now why on a Thursday night the place is empty. Food andservice are lacking in quality. I recommend trying somewhere else. I know I will. Read more
My coworker and I went for to Mi Pueblito for lunch today and it was by far one of the WORST lunch experiences that I?ve ever... had. To start, they were very unwelcoming and the server had a really nasty attitude. One he came to take our orders, I askedhim about the Chicken Wings and he told me that they could be fried crispy as I wanted them and tossed in Texas Pete. Well, Iwasn?t really sold on that but he ended up convincing me to order them. Needless to say, the food arrived and the wings lookeddisgusting. I expressed to my waiter that I didn?t want them he then told me to get them taken off at the register. Once we gotto the register, I explained the whole ordeal to the cashier and she goes and get the manager to further assist me. The managercame out and I explained it to him; He then began to argue with me and demanding for me to pay for food that I didn?t eventouch. He lied and said I opened a wing up and I NEVER TOUCHED IT! He said well all I can do is charge you half price, I saidnot paying any price for something that I didn?t even touch. He was EXTREMELY rude and argumentative with me. I finally told himdo what you must because I?m not paying for that and he just agreed to rush me out of the way. But he and his staff wereextremely rude and made my visit very unpleasant. Decided to try them out from all the hype. Even my landlord recommended them. I however would never go back and this is why...... We were seated quickly, the service was quick abs waiter was very good. However the rest of the visit was awful. Upon gettingour chips and salsa the 1st bite of chips was like biting into cardboard. No flavor what's so ever. The salsa tasted like theytook a can of Hunts crushed tomatoes and poured it into a bowl. Again No flavor at all. Tried adding salt to the salsa and somepepper an didn't help the flavor. The food was very bland. Ordered chicken an beef tacos and the beef tasted dirty. I will saythe chicken has flavor and was tender and good. The chicken tacos probably best thing I ate. I would not recommend. An if Icould give 1/2 a star I would. Shelby needs a good Mexican restraunt. I don't 96% rating from the health department. Someonemust kicking back the health inspector. Read more
Mi Pueblito Mexican Restaurant was really good. The service was great and the food delicious. The margaritas were so so but... still not bad. I?d go back. We went to see the Spoon Lady in Shelby and ate at Mi Pueblito before the show. Try it out next timeyou go through the area. Read more
The place seemed packed and teeming with activity. We were hearing some birthday songs around so we thought this must be some... real good happening place. We ordered one app of spinach cheese dip and we got a blanched whole spinach leaves that was drownedin the cheese sauce. The cheese was okay, not salty but the spinach had a slimy texture after all the cheese sauce. Never had aspinach cheese dip like this before. Ordered a chili con queso and what I got was a fried tortilla and drowned in cheese sauce.Where is the chili?! We were told that's how it's served in this restaurant. There are tiny bits of chili in there somewhere ifyou're lucky. It didn't taste bad just confusing. Didn't get any of our drinks refilled but they sure was quick to ask if wewere ready to pay for our food already while we were still eating. All in all it wasn't a bad dining experience. We ateeverything we had because we were already hungry, but that's enough. We're not coming back to this place. It was a so-soexperience. Read more
