Kate took me to dinner for a belated Birthday celebration (84). It was my choice of venue and we were not dissapointed. A... wonderful setting on Gun Lake, a marvelous dinner, top notch service. We'll be back. Read more

Really disappointed as this was our first and will be our last time here. The view was nice but that was the only positive... thing about our whole visit unfortunately. The bees on the deck swarmed us the whole time which we don?t really blame on therestaurant but a medium rare ribeye came out well done, the service was extremely slow and we had to ask for a desert menu whenwe were there for a birthday celebration as we were only offered our checks after finishing our meal nearly two hours latersince the service overall was so slow. Overpriced, mediocre food at best. Read more

Such a terrible experience. The food was absolutely bland, fish taco shells were cold and tasted stale, shells completely fell... apart with one bite and didn't even finish. The tuna ahi arrived stone cold and lacked flavor. We expected there to be livemusic as the concert by the lake advertised but our $5 cover charge didn't even get us to hear any music at all. If you'relooking for quality food, go elsewhere. Read more

I was very impressed with the staff and management at Bay Pointe. It was here that I asked my fiancée to marry me last... weekend. Management got us a table on the patio. I called the day before to ask about where to propose and the staff was veryhelpful. Izzy and Hannah were great with suggestions of where and when to propose and even took pictures and a video for us. Itwas a magical moment by the coy pond with a light drizzle happening at the same time. I would definitely recommend this spot asvery romantic. The management even sent out champagne and chocolate strawberries with the word "Congrats" written in chocolatedrizzle on the plate, which was a very sweet touch. We were impressed and very thankful for all the help in making this aspecial moment for us. A huge thank you to Izzy, Hannah and the Management for going above and beyond. Read more

First visit to Bay Pointe Bar and Grille for Happy Hour. We were seated on the patio, great views on a clear, sunny day. ... Service began slowly, not offered water, or drinks for quite some time. Once Leslie was assigned to our table service could nothave been better. She was friendly, timely and responsive. We shared appetizers and drinks and were fairly well satisfied withour choices. The crab cakes could have been a bit crispier on the outside but all in all, not loaded with ?filler? either. We?ll return for a meal and the view any time. Read more

I?ve held off on leaving a review because I?ve wanted to have a number of experiences and sit on those experiences for a bit... before writing them down. I?m honestly quite surprised flipping through some of the other reviews. I hope the owners really takethis criticism to heart because the kitchen needs a really hard looking at. I WANT this place to be an amazing specialdestination. If you have a pallet the food quality vs. the price is unjustifiable. You?re paying for the spectacular view and anice atmosphere but the food is embarrassing. The chef?s name is proudly displayed on the menu but for the multiple times I?veeaten there by now (in the hopes that the quality has improved and for the fabulous view at the very least) the food has beennothing short of sub-par. Even given the benefit of the doubt, the quality control was thrown out the window for some time. Itis abundantly clear that the microwave or heat lamps are overused. Any chicken dish in these price ranges should NEVER come outdry yet it does; consistently. Scallops? Overcooked rubber. Have sent them back in the past. Fried ravioli? I?d put money onreheated. They weren?t even heated all the way through! Fries? Great actually. Cmon?they?re fries. No one should be able to messthose up right? Turkey Brie and apple panini? Flavor? Dead. How can you make a poor dish that has melted brie?! Maple pecansalmon? Overcooked even after sending it back and the ratio of mustard and other flavors just wasn?t quite right. I hope oneday there?s a thorough review of the dining here because until then, sadly, I can?t come here or recommend it for anything otherthan a drink and the atmosphere and therefore have to give it a solid 2. It seemed like the kitchen was inexperienced. We ordered the salmon and weren?t asked about how done we wanted it and it came... rare and cold in the middle (and was not sushi grade). The prime rib was supposed to come with a horseradish cream sauce butthey were out, didn?t tell us they were out, and then when we asked they sent containers of plain horseradish. The view wasgreat and the waitstaff were friendly. Read more

I had two Corona's and fish tacos for $37 including tip. I sat on the porch overlooking the lake. The atmosphere was lovely but... the food had room for improvement. The fish tacos were not real crispy or flavorful. The portion was good sized but the fish inone of the three tacos was grey and hard instead of white and fluffy. The servers were very friendly but it took a considerableamount of time even to receive simple items such as bottled beer. Read more
