Happened to drive by on Saturday afternoon and they were open early. OMG!!!!! Love of Greece may be one of the best pizza's I... have ever eaten, don't knock it until you try it. If you're looking for a small town pizza place shellsburg Iowa is the place to go. We got the spicy Hawaiian pizza it was... excellent: homemade stromboli pepperoni pineapple and fresh mozzarella absolutely delicious. I could not wait to get home to leave a review! This is such a hidden gem that I can't believe it was my first time dining... there tonight! The moment we walked in we were greeted by Keith who is so jovial that his presence makes you feel right athome. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. We wanted for nothing the entire time we were there. She hadgreat recommendations from the menu. The way the serving staff and the owner interact shows me that he has a lot of respect forhis employees and they do for him as well. You don't always find that in restaurants. Now for the food.... the cheese breadalone told me what kind of experience I was going to have with my pizza. it is a perfectly hand-tossed dough that is neithertoo thin that it crumbles or too thick that it is still doughy. The cheese is so melty and gently pulls apart showing me thatthey use a quality product. The marinara alone was impressive as it didn't taste like just tomato sauce and had the perfectlevel of seasoning and spice without being too overpowering. These are all great bases for a perfect Pizza as you know. Theowner was nice enough to suggest that we could do our pizza a little differently than normal since they were a little slower. Wedid half Love of Greece and a quarter taco and a quarter sausage mushroom. This pizza was cooked to perfection despite havingthree different types on it! The meat to topping ratio was spot on! I literally felt like I was having an orgasm of flavor inmy mouth!!!!! They also offer a locally made cheesecake which is the perfect amount of decadence without being too much aftersuch an amazing meal! The only downside I could find and it isn't much of one is that they are only open two nights a week. Iwould much rather go back several nights a week because once you've had their pizza you'll want it everyday!!
