Ordered the $16 Parisian sandwich. Was supposed to be ham with gruyere cheese. It was a ham and Swiss with one slice of meat and... cheese. Two sandwiches and two piece of crumb cake (which was very yummy), $44. Read more
visited summer 2022 A great little market for essentials, and premium items. They have most of the typical grocery items... you'll need, plus tons more. They have nice cheeses, sausages, meats, pastries, and lots of other stuff you'd expect at anauthentic French shop. They also function as a restaurant, serving ready-to-eat items. Would go again. What a wonderful experience. I called Marie a month in advance for a family party of 10. I allowed her to create the menu and... she crushed it. And her service was outstanding. She delivered the appetizers at 5 (scallops with cavier, tuna sashimi, andsmoked salmon), and then delivered the dinner at 7:15 (lobster, sliced ribeye steak, grilled zucchini, corn salad withdelicious sauces) and then she made an outstanding mousse cake for the birthday girl. As a former employee I can tell you that basically everything is frozen and the whole store is a scam. Marie buys regular fruit... and puts it in ?organic containers? and claims there organic and local. All the fish is frozen and the ?homemade pizza crust?that once it?s all out together is around $18 is basically a store bought tortilla. Marie is verbally abusive to her staff andcostumers. I worked an 11 hour shift with no break and was screamed at for speaking to any coworkers while working. Toxicenvironment run by the biggest con artist avoid this place at all costs!! Read more
For the price of a restaurant entrée you don?t get much; small portion, average quality, all to be picked up at the counter... when they call your name. Nothing special. The view out back is the best part, but you can get the same thing for free sittingon a park bench next door (where they send you to use the public restroom). I spent $22 on crab cakes on greens (which I paid$6 extra for) and it was just a takeaway container filled with two sauce containers, maybe a handful of mixed greens, and twolittle crab balls (no bigger than a golf ball). To think that for $16 they just throw those two little balls in a containerwith sauce is just awful? it?s hardly an appetizer let alone a meal! Seriously, they?re just fried pieces of nothing. I walkeddown the street to stars cafe when I was finished and bought myself another lunch. Don?t let yourself be made into a fool; youwill get nothing for your money here. Read more
