Amazing food, great service we didn’t have a long wait. By 7 it was very busy here on a Saturday. I would recommend the short... rib entree and the poutine fries. The crime brûlée was amazing. Read more

Decided to go here for celebratory dinner and was very pleasantly surprised. Service was excellent, food exceeded expectations... and the deserts and cocktails have me planning return trips. The Pork Belly small plate and the S’mores Cake were bigstandouts for me. (Sorry for lack of photos , food didn’t last long enough lol) Megan our server was also very attentive andpolite. Highly recommend Read more

Market Place has done a fantastic job transforming the former Ruby Tuesday’s into a charming restaurant! The menu at Market... Place has a variety of menu items spanning different cultures, farm-to-table, gluten-free options, and more. We couldn’t passup the cheesy short rib poutine and nachos for appetizers! The salmon was so fresh, and the green pea risotto was a perfectpairing with the salmon. I tried the Harissa Chicken, which I found to be a really tasty fusion of Indian and Greek flavors. Ourwaitress was great at giving her recommendations when we asked, which is part of the reason we landed on the chocolate peanutbutter cake, and the timing between courses was great. It’s too bad it was raining on the day we came because the patio arealooked beautiful, but we’ll definitely sit out there next time! Read more

I'm a fairly frequent traveler to Shelton and this is the third time I've been here, which should tell you that it's definitely... not bad. Service has been absolutely incredible and personable every time (Lauren L was my server tonight and was extremelypleasant and attentive). The food experience has varied. My first time here I got a 16(?)oz filet that was a special for $45.Ordered it medium-rare and it came out medium. Fortunately, it was a great cut (no gristle that you'll occasionally get in afilet), and I didn't want to waste the food by sending it back and basically asking them to throw it away. It was very good, butover-cooked. Next time I was here I got the calamari appetizer. No complaints at all. Tonight I had the skillet salmon. Maybea little lacking on seasoning, but cooked a beautiful medium. All in all, a good meal. Good beer selection (I prefer craftbeer, preferably local wherever I am and preferably higher ABV). I recommend, but be aware that prices are higher than theyshould be (in my opinion). Great atmosphere and service, and good food. Read more

How blessed is this area to be able to enjoy a restaurant of this caliber?! Thank you for giving the option in Shelton to not... have to dine at chili’s or ruby tuesdays. The prices are very in line with the quality - I am willing to pay for an experiencethats worth it. Food, Drinks, Staff, all exceptional ESPECIALLY for their first week. We especially enjoyed the bartender Nick! Will be back over & over again! Read more

Went for my first visit on Saturday. Aesthetically, the place is gorgeous. Nice, open lay out, the fire place in the center is a... nice touch, and I enjoyed the atmosphere. The beer selection was good. They were sadly out of blue moon and bud light, but hadplenty of local beers available. Service was quick, and the waitress was always checking on us. The food tasted good, and thecomplementary bread was a nice touch. Now, here's why I unfortunately had to give it a 3/5: the prices are killer. I was in aparty of two: both of us had the market place burger (the most basic thing on the menu), I subbed out the fries for a salad ($2more, which is fine). We had 3 beers between us, and we ordered a nacho plate. I will say the nachos was impressive what theygave as toppings, but I almost mocked the lack of chips to topping ratio. Had to eat most of the plate with a fork. Anyway, sofor the above, with tax and a standard 20% tip the table bill was over $90. Sadly, for that much I could go to most restaurantson the same road and keep $40-55 dollars. Sure, I'll give them that the food we did get was certainly good, but not at theprices. I feel this place will see business slump unfortunately, as you can't consistently eat here. Read more
