Decided to stop by Pier131 Kitchen + Bar for happy hour on a beautiful late August afternoon. We requested to sit outside over... looking the Housatonic River which was very comfortable with nice views! Our server Brando was friendly and helpful, as was therest of the wait staff that catered to us. Food came out to us quickly and was tasty. The food, drinks & service was great. Large dinning & bar area. The menu has a nice variety of items to choose from and not... overwhelming. Burratta Avocado toast, wings, mussels in champagne sauce, and dessert were delicious. Drinks were made well,loved the organic spicy margarita. Outdoor seating is great, overlooking the river! Great atmosphere. Ideal spot for gathering with friends, family or a date. Staff is very friendly. The Smash Burger was on point... but what made it better was the prefect crispiness fries. Its had to find fries this good. Also whatever the dipping sause forthe crab rolls is fire!! I highly recommend this place. PS: Its been a month since I went and I'm still thinking about themfries. My friend and I sat at the bar at one of the corners. Our bartender was nice but did not come over to us very much. We ordered... appetizers and they did not come out for close to 45 minutes so at that point we decided to order our meals before theappetizers even came to us. I ordered a burger medium well and that is not what I got. I kindly spoke to another bartender andshe took it off my tab. Workers are nice but service is slow. Read more
The atmosphere is great. Would love to come back when it's warmer to sit outside with the water view. They do great wine pours.... The shishito peppers have no flavor. Would never order them again. The mussels were good, large. Vegan bowl was good, had itwith the brown rice. Had good flavors. The Cajun pasta was delicious, had a kick to it but not overly spicy. Recommend. Read more
This new spot right along the Housatonic River in downtown Shelton is a fantastic addition to the great restaurants found in the... Valley! Beautiful decor, tons of windows, very spacious inside, with a large U-shaped bar, and ample tables. Staff took verygood care of me & my friends, and the food has been stellar! Looking forward to going out to dine on the patio when the weatherwarms up! This place deserves a visit, come check them out! The smashburgers are juicy and delicious! Steaks are very good, mybreaded pork chop was super tender and had a slightly spicy, creamy sauce that really pleased my taste buds. I plan to exploremore menu items as I return again. Read more
There is an obvious thought process that goes into making a menu. & The Chef(s) have done a great job pairing up different... flavor combinations that make you look forward to the next bite of each course! The food was great I recommend the teriyaki dumplings, the steak tacos, and the pizza. The service isn?t great our food went to... other tables we had a good amount of wait and very little interactions with the staff. Read more
