Went here to try out a new spot during Houston Restaurants Week. While the workers themselves seem like fantastic people, it was... unfortunate that due to them being understaffed that led us to having an unpleasant experience. The menu itself seemed wellover worth the price. Reservations were made since it was a Saturday evening but were not really necessary. The first courseboth the goat cheese and fried artichokes seemd normal portions but the steak nachos were sad looking; two tortillas chips withthinslice of meat on each on and an avacado on top. Main dishes were find but zero presentation. The best course was thedessert. Taste and presentation on point, even if the chocolate "molten cake" tasted like a Sam's club muffin still way betterthan the nachos! This biggest let down was the service. We were left with empty cups countless times in between every break andthe turn around times to get back to us was just irritating. They apologized for the inconvenience and we still tipped ourserver, however I would not go back. Read more

$$$ The service was excellent; I give them 5 stars. I wish I could say the same about the food. But unfortunately, I am a home... chef and 100% Italian. 1. The chief dish did not have an excellent presentation, as seen in the photos. 2. The sausage bread didnot appear to be bread stuffed with sausage, looked like a wet noodle with sausage and other spices coming out. 3. The friedravioli was fried, and the inside was gone. 4. The fried calamari was good; the red sauce was unpleasantly sweet like it wasfrom a can. 5. The Bruschetta was ok Chicken Piccata, presentation poorly done. There was nothing in this dish that was piccatastyle. The upgrade side creamy risotto was extremely al dente and lacked flavoring; that combination should not be with thisItalian dish; the chicken should have been sliced thin and dry. The other piccata word had a side of pasta marinara, no way thismarinara sauce tasted like a can. 6. The scallops and arugula risotto, they put creamy risotto with this dish, again, not a goodcombination it looked and stuck together like lumpy oatmeal. 7. The Midwest best filet mignon was cooked to order but lackedflavoring and needed more sauce. So it was with a side of garlic mashed potatoes, no seasoning. 8. The upgrade caesar saladswere ok; they overloaded them with salad dressing, tasted like it was from a bottle, but also lacked flavoring. The best partwas the Desserts, which were all excellent in taste and preparation. The assistant manager (I assume) was overlooking our tableand came to inquire about the food since he noticed we had all left half of our dinner. He apologized and informed us that thisrestaurant is corporate ran and has a manager who runs it. Therefore, the corporate needs to change how the food is prepared andpresented. Also, this restaurant is housed inside a hotel, indicating many guests are business people, and a quick meal thatoffers an expense menu may be acceptable. However, personally, this was not worth $200.00; drink Read more

The food was amazing! Huge portions and scrumptious! Customer service was exceptional! The waitress was attentive, super nice... and helpful. The bar tender came to our table to ask if she could fix any drink that I might enjoy. But the most impress was Ms.Davis, the manager who went over and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable evening! We celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary tonight and enjoyed the Midwest Petite Filet and Heart of Italy combo. Both meals... were delicious! Our waiter, Jeremiah, was friendly and attentive. The manager, Miss Avis, stopped by to welcome us and chat fora bit. We topped off the meal with a Happy Anniversary “Bananas Foster” Cheesecake! We plan to visit again one day! Read more

This was our first time here and what a hidden gem! We were immediately greeted at our table by Ms Avis and later the manager,... Francesca welcomed us and chatted about the Italian wines they carry and she was from Sicily. Fresh bread was deliveredpromptly along with our drinks. My husband ordered the Heart of Italy and I ordered the prime rib and vegetables. Both weredelicious and well portioned! The prices are very reasonable and we will definitely be back! Read more

The food is superb, and the people are even better. The managers, Francesca and Miss Avis, make it a point to work the room and... speak to everyone like they’re old friends. Not just a “how is everything”, but they’d actually get to know you alittle! The waiter had a great personality and stayed on top of everything. The food was to die for! They make their herbfocaccia bread fresh on site and have this speciality herb & Parmesan dipping oil that is unreal. The Parmesan crusted steak andturtle cheesecake are heavenly! Most of all, we loved the staff’s good communication skills. I told the managers that it wasour anniversary, and the waiter already knew about it before we said a thing to him. Dessert is on the house if you’re thereto celebrate! Great dining experience, and we will absolutely be back. Read more
