The food was excellent! It came out in a timely manner and was hot. I felt bad for the waitress. She was a very nice lady! Not... only was she the waitress for the ENTIRE restaurant, she was also the hostess, bus"boy", cashier, and (it appeared) preparer ofsome food orders! How she remained so calm, I have no idea! Where I come from our local franchise of "Big Boy" went away decades ago so it was nice to see this place, I got the big boy... with fries....they brought me onion rings which was a "happy accident" because I forgot how good the rings were. 10-8-22 about 5pm: Service was friendly but on slow side abit as they were short-handed. Got the Breakfast Burger with reg beef... patty vs sausage that was pretty good. First time here, had to try their famous burgers. Traveling from Texas. Not what I expected for a burger with tartar... sauce....but to my surprise it was VERY good!!! Its almost like a Dennis but with a drive thru....yes, this is the best way Ican describe it. Chicken tenders were not bad either, not greasy at all and their cheese steak was not bad either. The food was good, always wanted to try a "big boy" restaurant. The waitress deserves to be terminated, in my opinion. Not... sure how "overworked" She may have been, but don't take it out on the customers. When we entered, she greeted us with theusual, "I'll be with you as soon as I can." Cleaned a table, was moving EXTREMELY slowly. Had 3 other tables with customers,checked on them. Other customers came in behind us. She stopped and checked a guest out, cleaned his table. My wife anddaughter went to the restroom, two sets of customers who came in after we had, turned and walked out. My family came back fromthe restroom, I was still waiting to be seated. It was as if she was trying to drive customers away. Once seated, we treatedher with respect, and she treated us fine. Food was good, just don't appreciate the wait. While we ate, we watched 6 otherfamilies leave. She is costing the owner a lot of money!!! Which is a shame, as "big boy" restaurants have very limitedlocations and are part of American nostalgia. We went in and ordered carry out. While we waited over 20 minutes for our food, three parties left after waiting to be seated... for over 10 minutes. They were either ignored or rudely told to, ?Just wait!? When we received our food, I checked to make sureall the containers were in the bags, and I had to ask for silverware and condiments because none were provided. When I unpackedthe food, the chili spaghetti container that I ordered contained only spaghetti noodles- NO chili, NO beans, NO cheese. I won't be coming to this place anymore. Visited this place last weekend. Was told it was PACKED by the waitress. And this is... the parking lot empty... 2 families inside. Was ignored for most of the meal no refills no silverware. Ordered our food. Just tohave her bring the receipt for it 20 minutes later forgetting she never brought the food out. Blamed it on the kitchen staffthen disappeared. Came back 20 minutes later with food that was undercooked and raw. Worst experience ever stay AWAY from thisplace... Read more
