Very friendly down home diner. I had heard so many wonderful things about this place so my family & I drove an hour just to... check it out. I would compare it to any other diner. There was nothing in particular that made me say WOW I need to come back.Not a fan of the home fries, they were dry & bland. Stuffed french toast was way too sweet. The sausage was delicious though &the potato pancakes were pretty good. One cool thing about American Pie Company is they have a bakery attached with a variety ofbaked goods to choose from. Okay, back again definitely my favorite diner worth the drive. Now l have to confess I always take home frozen minestrone ,... chicken pot pie and cookies. Sooo good! Seriously two of us are way too much pot pot pie I think I had almost half. That's aftera crazy large lunch. Today's visit had comfort food take the blue ribbon. So much to choose from, the corned beef outstandingcompletely satisfied. We stayed with specials because you can always have the regular menu. And the onion rings well you reallyneed to try them... Love this place!! First time here and me and the wife are already talking about coming back here since their is soo much on the... menu that we want to try. We came here for brunch and stuck to ordering breakfast food. I got a large stack of pancakes whichwere fluffy and moist. The texas omelet was was hugh and i substituted the home fries and toast with a buttery biscuit and aside of corn beef hash, all delicious. My wife got the steak and eggs with a mimosa. We both had hot coffee. Everything wasamazing. We can't wait to come back and try some lunch/dinner food which I'm sure is also delicious. Read more
Inedible. Picked up a $24 pumpkin pie and it was easily the worst pie I?ve ever tasted. We couldn?t eat it. Should have known... when I opened the pie and it didn?t look presentable. That piece of crust was in the middle of the pie like the picture and thecrust was broken around the edges. Plus inside it was dark for a pumpkin pie. Flavor was mealy and as if they?d forgotten theevaporated milk in the pie recipe. Awful. Complete waste of money. Read more
I?ve been to American pie Company in Sherman a couple of times. Their location is great, next to the USPS, you can sit inside or... outside, just buy some bakery or have breakfast or lunch. Our experience is good most of the time, However the last time some ofthe breakfast meat came cold. We complained about it and the server was super friendly and accommodating, fixed the problem onthe spot. Read more
Amazing brunch to start the day! Friendly and efficient waitress effortlessly worked the cozy dining room and kept the coffee... flowing. Highly recommend the Oktoberfest German Potato Pancake Pileup. Bratwurst for breakfast is a game changer! Fluffiestscrambled eggs I?ve ever seen.
