Donuts were yummy. Line in the morning was long but hey, it's morning time and people want their donuts!
I went there this morning to use my Major Saver card with the intent of redeeming one dozen glazed donuts for free when you buy... one dozen donuts. The card clearly does NOT say a specific type of donut to buy, just that you get a dozen glazed for free whenyou buy a dozen donuts (See pic). It would seem to me no matter if you purchased 12 apple fritters (which is a type of donut)or 12 regular glazed donuts, that it would meet the requirements to redeem the coupon right? I bought a variety of 12 donutswhich in value were far more expensive than the dozen free glazed donuts offered in the coupon and was told they could notredeem it because there were certain types in my order. I told them I am buying a dozen like the card says, the young womantold me that's how she was told to handle it. I assume management/owners directed her to handle it this way. I told her Idisagreed and that it is a bad business practice. Great family owned donut store. The Best Apple fritters, their donuts have a greta yest flavor.
It was ok. I had an apple fritter and it was large but to sweet same with donut holes lighten up on icing guys and you'll be... fine. Read more
I?ve eaten kolaches my whole life and I have never eaten a worse tasting kolache. They look and taste like they came out of a... great value box and were microwaved for 30 seconds. Wife doesn?t like the doughnuts. Didn?t have chocolate or strawberrymilk. Spent $40 there on a dozen kolaches and 18 donuts (and 4 drinks) and the only parts that anyone enjoyed was the Dr.Pepper. 2 stars because the employees there were friendly and quick. Read more
If I could give it less then 1 star I would. These were the worst doughnuts I've ever had in my life. They tasted like fried... fish. Definitely should not be allowed to have southern maids name on the sign. Read more
Update: I like the renovation they did, and the donuts are still delicious. We have been let down by three donut shops and this... place is the one place we go back to. They haven't been rude or impatient towards us. This is our one and only donut shop intown and the prices are decent. I love the large cinnamon rolls, their mini cinnamon rolls are just as good. If we couldrecommend a good donut shop to go to, this would be it. This place is small and needs work but the donuts are delicious. Thestaff are friendly and are quick to help you. The variety of donuts is small but in as-far-as taste goes, these donuts are good.There is no funky aftertaste. We will always come here for fresh made donuts. :) Read more
The last few times I've visited I've gotten old donuts. Maybe I'm going to late to closing. Most of the time the donuts are... fresh and amazing. Read more
