First visit here. Loved it! Everything on the menu looks delicious, but the wife an I opted for 2 of their specials this... night. I can't do these justice in my description but I'll try.... We started out with their special Brussel sprouts appetizerthat was delicious. I had the Mahi Mahi over noodles and asparagus. The fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. The sauce was verysubtle, not strong or overpowering allowing me to appreciate the flavor of the fish - which is mild. My wife had the chickenparmagian over noodles that had a special "seasonal " pumpkin sauce that tasted wonderful. The servings were plentiful, thestaff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy. The restaurant is on the small side so make sure to getreservations or place an order to go for pickup. We are looking forward to returning to try some of their other offerings! Read more

Intimate and casual dining in old town Sherwood. This place has a Charming atmosphere. Our server was very professional,... attentive, and knew the details of the menu items really well. The fresh baked bread was to die for. The entrees were fresh,inventive, and tasty. The only reason this isn?t a 5 star review is because, after making reservations 3-4 days in advance, thehost made a big deal about not find us on his seating chart. It was embarrassing to stand in the entrance for 10 minutes whilehe asked for my husbands name over and over while shaking his head. They had open tables inside and out (I assumed they werereserved) but he eventually seated us at one of them after the third person in our party arrived. It was awkward. I would add more stars if I could! First off you need to make a reservation because not getting in will ruin your night. We... went to dinner with some friends who go regularly and now I understand why! The staff make you feel very welcome and payattention so they swoop in at the perfect moment. The owners work the room while making amazing food and drinks. When you goplan on ordering a complete mean because you definitely want appetizers and dessert. Also the drinks compliment the meal and Iwouldn't imagine not getting at least one. Now if your not sold by this point let me tell you about the food. Normally I wouldsay it's the star off the show but here it's the foundation of the experience. Drinks usher you in and welcome you. The breadand appetizers get you settled. The main dish delights and makes you want to finish all of it. Then you think that maybe dessertis to much but it caps off a great meal in just the right ways. I wish I had take some pictures but I was so wrapped up in theexperience that it didn't even enter my mind! Go and than tell me I'm wrong! It has been a while since my husband and I had a dine-in date night, and I am so happy that we chose Mason as our night out. The... restaurant has a very warm, friendly feel, the servers are professional and so knowledgeable about the menu. And what a menu!The food was imaginative, fresh, hot and delicious. Very impressed with the management of this restaurant. We met both the owners, one of which is the chef. You can tell they have... a ton of pride in their business and care about each customer?s experience. We dined here this past Thursday evening andobserved how attentive every single server was. It is such a different experience than being just a number at many otherplaces. And the food! The caprese appetizer was fresh and flavorful featuring large heirloom tomatoes. The shrimp in myhusband?s angel hair pasta were large and cooked to a perfect bounce. I had a juicy strip steak with a creamy mash and zucchinion the side. It was beautiful. Well done, Mason! First, the server, outstanding. It was a most impressive explanation of food, with vivid details. The food, some good, some not... the best. We went with locals who enjoyed the place. The location and atmosphere were great. The appetizers - heirloom tomatoesand cantaloupe - were great. The locals loved their food - they get the same chicken and shrimp every time but I can't recallwhat it was. The kids plates of pasta and sauce were great. My wife had lamb chops - cooked perfectly but perfectly bland. Noadded flavor or spice. Definitely not New Zealand tasting lamb. I had the rolled veal special. It came out very dry and overcooked. It didn't have a great flavor. I am not sure what was going on, but a entrees took a long time to be served. Thelocals will go back, us not so much. Read more
