Went there with a bigger group and was promptly seated. Do try their specialty soup, it's to die for! The service was fast and... the staff was super friendly!! My husband wasn't sure about what drink to order so the server recommended their Sangria and itwas delicious!! They even gave my nephew a tiny pizza dough to play with and by the end of our visit, he was pretending to betheir chef flipping the dough in the air mimicking them. I wish I could give my experience 0 stars. I went in for lunch on 10/14/2022. It took an hour and a half before we got our food.... We were brought the wrong food twice before we got the right food. Definitely should have a better organizational system so thatpeople can get the right food in a timely fashion. I watched at least 2 tables walk out without getting food which I assume wasbecause of the lengthy wait and I wish I had done the same. When we finally got the right order my salad had brown lettuce andwas warm. The pizza was gooey and undercooked. Overall the food tasted like they were using cheap ingredients and service wasterrible. After the terrible experience they didn't even offer an apology. The restaurant was also very dirty with multipleunclean tables and there was a counter full of dirty dishes at least 15 dirty plates and bowls next to where we were eating. Wewatched the waiter grab dishes off the tables and abandon them on the counter next to us multiple times. This lunch experiencewas terrible- I love Famoso but will never be back to this location as it was a complete waste of money. Read more

Hmmm....recent reviews seem staged??? NOT my experience. Go somewhere else for the costs of dinner these days. My experience... from having gone to this famoso as my go to for years. This famoso was closed all summer for 'renos'was very excited to see itopen this weekend. Went for an early dinner on saturday. Seems this was an ownership change. All staff has changed and for thekitchen it shows. Recent 'renovations' ownership change/ staffing changes not for the better. First: Prices have gone up(relatively understandable) Second: portion sizes are down atleast 1/3rd. Third: Quality of ingredients is down. The proscuittomozza balls down in size by half and the once amazing sauce has changed and tastes like plain old regular canned tomato sauce.The salad is half the previous size. The sauce on pizza was nil. The toppings on chicken bbq pizza was half. The walnuts in thesalad were stale. I can say that after many many years of going here I will probably not return. While paying for the meal athigher costs small portions the lady couldnt care less that we noticed portion sizes are alot smaller and ingredients changed.Too bad. Was a go to. Maybe go to the jasper ave location instead. To the new owners /operators Do better. Very disappointed. Read more

Just attended the soft invite only opening of the Sherwood Park Famoso Pizzeria. The service is amazing and food is fresh and... hot. The Gelato (mango flavoured) is so good literally like liquid gold. Pizza was fresh and properly portioned. And salad wasdelicious. Read more
