I think these 5 star reviewers are either paid off or mario fish? how the heck can you like this slop? I love mom and pop type... restaurants and home style food, but this is what I envision prison food to be close to....Avoid! You can find better that isaround the same price if not cheaper near by. This place has to know they are cutting all corners to get the most profits. Thechicken and noodles was flavorless aside from salt and too much of it! The noodles are not even close to amish home style. Theseare like what you get from instant cup of soup type noodles. Watery gravy, hardly any meat. Potatoes are instant and made withwater. Come on Shipshewana auction restaurant, your food and dining conditions are deplorable! Anything for a buck and it'sbeen this way for years now. The flies dive bomb you and it's horribly hot in the dining area in the summer. Read more

Came in with a group on a bus trip. We were seated right away and our waitress got the drinks for those that wanted something... other than water right away but from there on I think she must have gotten very overwhelmed because after serving the 1st tableshe had a very hard time getting each person's meal to them and some of us were finished eating before the others got theirfood. There was pie waiting at each place setting. I had to ask what pie I had because it didn't really taste like much ofanything. It was butterscotch and it tasted like it came from a powdered mix and wasn't well blended. It was bland andgrainy. My meal was chicken and noodles, might as well call it dry flavorless noodles with a pinch of chicken with Instantpotatoes. I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends Read more

One of our favorite places to eat whether it's an auction/flea market day or not. Great homecooked meals & pies! They close at... 2:00 PM, so be sure to get there early. On flea market days, it's a good idea to get in line for lunch before 11:00 AM. Theyoffer breakfast, sandwiches, soup, & dinners. We never miss the chicken & noodles! If you are at the flea market, don't botherwith the outside food stations. Although they are under pavilions, go to the air conditioned restaurant to take the load off &get cooled down. You won't be sorry. Read more

Very rude. We ate family style $50.00 & left waitress $10.00. I have a stomach problem & my food gets.slow in my esophagus. So... I have to wait until it goes down. We ordered 2 extra chicken breast but left potatoes green beans, noodles, dressing & gravy.I couldn't eat my last piece of chicken until my food went down so I wrapped up 1 chicken breast to take & eat when my foodwent down. A boy( not a man) waited at the register until my husband went to pay. He told him a customer saw me put the pieceof chicken in my purse and they didn't allow that.As if we were thieves. My husband took the piece of chicken back to giveit to him but he wasn't there so he gave it to a girl.So my question is why didn't he come to the table and say somethinginstead of waiting at the regestor.I could understand then or even paid extra for a piece of chicken that we paid for already. This is an evil world. I'm sure the piece of chicken was or should have been thrown away. So I'm putting this here so otherpeople don't have the same experience. They said it's because you supost to eat it there. This was at the Esenhaus Restaurant. Read more

After reading reviews I was pretty excited about eating lunch here. For being called an "Amish Restaurant " in many posts, maybe... my expectations were fairly high. Honestly the Chicken & Noodles could have come from a cardboard box in your local freezersections. Amish do not serve Instant Mashed Potatoes, yet this is what I was served. The 3 other meals ordered did not exactlyhave rave reviews. Read more
