My boyfriend and I get take out from here regularly. I am always the one to order and pick up. Today he went with his sister to... dine in. The waitress was rude, cold and dismissive. She exchanged no pleasantries even though they attempted to be kind to her.When they would say thank you she'd respond with "yeah" and walk away. She didn't even look at them when taking their order.When they finished their meal, they were planning on ordering an additional meal to bring home to me, and before they had achance to order, they were brought the check without asking for it. It was 1.5 hours before closing time and other people werebeing served and seated, so there's no reason they should have been rushed out. When they were leaving, they were approached bysomeone who appeared to be the manager or owner who asked if they were leaving a tip. They explained that although they arenormally big tippers, this waitress would not be receiving a tip because of her rude and terrible service. I am a raciallyambiguous looking latina woman, my boyfriend and his sister are Black Americans. It's hard not to compare my usually neutralexperiences with their terrible experience at this place and attribute it to race. Especially since they witnessed this samewaitress provide adequate service to non-black patrons. Hiring rude staff is bad for business. Being racist and providingterrible service is bad for business. Chasing customers out the door requesting a tip after you treated them like they'rebeneath you is bad for business. Will never order from here again, and will not recommend to anyone in our very large localfamilies, and network of friends. Read more
If you are looking for amazing sushi look no further, i have eaten sushi all over NY and NYC and let me tell you this is the... BEST sushi i have ever had. The food and the price is amazing.
