Excellent food and excellent service. Absolutely a 5 Star dining experience. We have been staying at the Settlers Inn in Hawley... and were told about Peter?s by some friends who own a home near by. We have been coming to the Poconos and the LakeWallenpaupack region for about 35 years and never knew about this outstanding restaurant. Stopped in on our way from Milford to Hawley after visiting Raymondskill?s Falls for an espresso martini. What a way to wrap up... the afternoon. Not what you would expect from a bar on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. But, exceptional serviceand great atmosphere. The espresso martinis were delicious, made with real espresso. Mouth-watering menu, impeccable service, warm and friendly ambience. We had a reservation and were welcomed by name on arrival. ... The drink menu alone was so inventive, I could have filled up on just alcohol taste-testing everything! But I went for the*famous* soup and glad I did! We ordered several other things- all totally delicious - but boxed up half to save room fordessert- AMEN to the creme brulee! Exceptional! Food was excellent. Lots of choices for a variety of diet preferences. Well-prepared. Cocktails and wine list... interesting and expertly served (martini glass properly chilled in the freezer). Very capable and friendly service. The patiosetting was absolutely lovely for a summer evening. Our only wish was for different music on the outdoor speakers. We will beback! Read more
My hubby and I absolutely love this restaurant. He had the filet mignon which he said was one of the best he?s had. I had a... vegetarian pasta dish that was amazing! Also if you like creamy soup they have the best mushroom and garlic soup. Our waitressRebecca was super nice and attentive. We will definitely be coming back here. Read more
Where do I start? Fortuitously stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant and got a reservation at the last minute. Very humble... exterior, but absolutely lovely decor inside, with a very well stocked hip bar and several rooms to be seated in. We chose tosit in their newly built outside kiosks. Past the waterfalls to their outside gardens. Cocktails were insanely delicious aswas the wine (very special cabernet). Appetizers to die for... The best pei mussels I have ever eaten... Plump, succulent andsauce that needed another order of bread served hot to sop up the sauce... A helping of pasta would have been even moretasty. The Mahi Mahi special with pistachios crust was superb, stuffed chicken... So good, and a summer salad topped with wildsalmon cooked to perfection was great on a warm August evening. We ended with chocolate cake and a sidecar of vanilla icecream... Expresso martini, and Peter's coffee, not to be missed. BTW... Service was extraordinary... Our server could not doenough for us, and Peter came out to our table himself to make sure that we were all pleased with our dinners and enjoyed ourexperience at Europa House. What a gem... The food was wonderful. The sweet potato soup was excellent. My wife and I had the tournado (sorry no pics) which is basically... a small beef wellington but it was cooked almost perfectly ????. Unfortunately we weren't smart enough to save room for desert.Maybe next time. Read more
