Please,read prior to frequenting this establishment. 10/18/22. After purchasing this nasty expensive chicken, I was compelled... to write a review. After reading some comments, I must agree with 1 person's review. "It tasted like some chemicals was on itwith absolutely no seasoning"! Never ate a meal from a restaurant whereas nothing was merely ok.from now on I will stick withSouthern Classic. In closing it's surprising this place is not closed down hence, proves some people don't know what good foodis that gave 5 star. Shame on you. Read more
We stopped by to try the buffet. At 2pm, most of the dishes were fresh. The older food had fresher pans already being made.... There wasn't a long line to go in but a few cars in the drive thru. A tv to watch and self serve soft drinks. The fried chickentasted like churches chicken, the oven roasted chicken was lightly seasoned but good, veggies on the line were good, and thedesserts were ok. The only thing I added salt & pepper to was my mash potatoes but there is white & brown gravy for it also. Allof the chicken was tender and warm. My wife enjoyed the liver, gizzards, and the beans were good. The employees were friendlyand talkative. The store appeared clean, tables were wiped down, and it did look like a old Dairy Queen store. Hartz Chicken Buffet was recommended to us by a friend, and I was shocked how good the food was! The fried chicken on the line... was not a greasy, foul-tasting mess. It was quite delicious, very crispy, I was amazed. The sides were equally great, andincluded cabbage that wasn't mushy at all. I could eat my body weight in cabbage, and I certainly tried to! The mac and cheesewas was the best I've had in a long time, and those rolls... In the end, I wasn't sure if I had any room at all for dessert, butI'm glad I went back to see what they had. It's a miracle, but there was peach cobbler! It didn't have the crispiness of regularcobbler, but I did NOT care. It was still very good. Hubby wanted to visit this Hartz instead of the one in Bossier. Went on a Sunday it was crowded people were coming in after... church, the business is not that big. The food was fresh, hot, & good. The Hartz in Bossier is better with more entrees on thebuffet. One of the workers were harassing our kids because they were sitting at a table & were done eating although the adultsin our party were still eating. She was rushing us out & we had a problem. Our party paid just like everyone else. Will notreturn to this one will drive the extra miles to Bossier to get better food, as well as customer service. Read more
The buffet was excellent. It was kept up very well. Some of what they have is different from the Bossier Restaurant. The... employees were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean. As a matter of fact there was someone constantly cleaning whenwe were there. . . .The only problem that we noticed was the ONE handicapped parking space. Whoever did the stripingapparently has no clue about handicapped people. The ramp is centered in the middle of the space, therefore when you park inthe space the ramp is blocked by your own vehicle. So someone in a wheelchair can park, but they can't get INSIDE therestaurant. I can't believe they haven't noticed it themselves. Some folks don't get it until they're in the situation. Owners and operators should put themselves in handicapped situations when planning out restaurants, stores, parking lots,restrooms. . . . Food wise, I recommend. For the handicapped in a wheelchair, unless the parking accessibility is corrected,don't plan on dining in. Read more
Comment! Your store in North Louisiana at 6904 Notth Market had got to be the worst experience of my ENTIRE life!!! Had to wait... an hour in line just to order. I remained in line so I can blog about how terrible the service was..got to the window! FINALLY,and had to wait another 20 minutes due to the inside customers yelling in dissatisfaction!!! Please close down! We have SouthernClassic Chicken which makes you guys obselete with your tasteless chicken we have to wait 1 1/2 for?and the fried liver tastelike chemicals..truly a waste of space Read more
This is their fourth day open. I stopped in for the buffet. They have chicken, chicken livers, chicken hearts, chicken strips,... fried fish, dumplings, and a variety of sides. I tried a little of everything. The buffet was reasonably priced at $12.98 aperson. Kids and seniors was cheaper. Drinks included in the buffet. Read more
I moved back to Shreveport a little over a year ago and Hartz was my absolute FAVORITE in Houston. And to know that they opened... one literally 5 minutes from where I live now was the best thing ever. I visit this place at least once every two weeks. Thestaff is always friendly and the place is neat and tidy. The food: For my daughter it?s the chicken tenders. As for myself, it?sthe livers and gizzards. Well seasoned and the mashed potatoes ?????
