First of all, the food is good. I like their eggs and home fries and my friend likes their yellow pancakes. What I don't like... is that this is not a friendly place. Even through there were plenty of seating, it took forever to get seated and there was nowelcoming interaction. The waitress was efficient, but gruff and all business. She seemed impatient and when the food wasdelivered, by her, the dishes were just plopped on the table and off she went. When I asked for more coffee (that's right, Ihad to ask), she just brought another small cup and plopped it down and said there is your coffee and sped away. To be fair, shewas a hard worker and probably had more than enough tables, but most people I know, really do prefer to be treated with regardand friendliness. The young lady behind the desk was also unfriendly. While waiting, she told us to stand on the side, whichwas appropriate, but she made us feel that we were doing something wrong. When I paid the bill, there was no change in herdemeanor. I guess staffing issues have made them less particular about who they hire. This diner has not been the same sincethe pandemic . Read more
I had some of the best strawberry-filled pancakes I've ever eaten. Note IHOP is good but (I'm sorry) Americana's are better.... Y'all need to pop in and see what I mean. The staff? They're really great. Made me comfortable and filled. Oh jeez, almostforgot. Their OJ is so good. Just be dure to ask them to serve it over ice chips. No regrets. None. Enough of me now. Good diner food! The coffee was good and the food came out fairly quickly.
I'm a jersey girl, who doesn't love a diner? Like any other diner, crowded, noisy, fast paced, wonderful hustling staff and... awesome diner food. Corned beef hash and eggs for the husband, his favorite. He loved every bite but wishes he asked for thehash browns to be well done French toast and bacon-bacon was crispy and salty as it should be and the French toast was perfectlymoist on the inside and cooked perfect on the outside Coffee sucks, I never like it, but I always get it, cuz ya just do I ??diner food. The parking lot was very busy so I figured there will be a wait. But the moment we walked we were seated right away. I asked out... wait for my chocolate milk to be dark and he delivered! It was prefect. For our meals we both got the same thing. Which was theAmericana breakfast. The Omelet had 3 meats and cheese in the middle. Just delicious and came with a side of buttered toast.The only thing lacking flavor were potatoes. But other than that I looked forward to many meals here. Read more
Hands down the best diner pancakes I have ever had! Moist and flavorful! Amazing service, great coffee, excellent home fries,... and great eggs! Everything was made from quality ingredients and the service was so friendly. Plus everyone loves a nice shinychrome retro diner! 11/10! Read more

I had a horrible experience here. I completely understand staffing shortages and a delay in service. If that were the only... issue, I wouldn?t be posting a negative review. It took about 15 minutes for our order to be taken. After another 15 minutesafter placing the order, I was told they were out of the item I ordered. I replaced with a Reuben and when it came it was asauerkraut on rye. There was very little meat and it didn?t taste or look right. After one bite, I didn?t touch the meal. Mydaughter ordered a burger medium well. The burger was burnt on the outside and rare on the inside. The French onion soup brothhad no flavor at all. We never got a refill on our tiny glasses of water. The waitress was so nice, but clearly had too manytables so we couldn?t get her to tell her any of this or to get refills. After sitting for over an hour, I guess the managercould see I was looking for the waitress so he came over and brought the check. He could see our food was barely touched, butsaid nothing. I told the cashier about the food issues, and he said he was sorry but charged me the full amount of the bill. Ieven said to him, ?I just told you I didn?t eat my food and my daughter?s food was not cooked properly and you?re going tocharge me full price?? He said, ?I said sorry.?
