Went to Chuck's Burger Bar last night and the atmosphere felt really good. There were a few screens covering the hockey game,... the music was low enough to have a conversation and the staff was that perfect mix of friendly and sassy. When we got there,it was a 20 minute wait for a table so we grabbed two seats at the bar. Magically, we ended up sitting beside one of the cooks(Dallas), who just got off shift, and gave us the best poutine recommendations! The food is large portions and so filling... youmight want to consider sharing. At about 10pm things change from a pub scene to a bar/club scene but we left before that point.Highly recommend. Amazing choices in Poutine and burger flavors/toppings. Candied bacon is a must try appetizer. Spotty service and inconsistently... cooked burgers are what brought the star rating down. I want to love it for the great quality and huge portions but every timewe go the service is pretty slow and the patties have been dry and under seasoned. Read more
Delicious and massive burger, awesome onion rings with chipotle sauce. My son had a burger with blue cheese and that was a... little much for him - but he just scraped it off. Kitchen is a little slow - but worth the wait. Can't wait to go back and trysome of their other burgers! Read more
BACON! It?s so fun to order the bacon apply. Pints are fresh and frosty. Service can be really slow, but the food is good. When... it is cold out watch out... sitting near the door is freezing. We really enjoy coming. Read more
