Thought we’d give a try to a somewhat local place. We’re from Bellefontaine, and usually travel to Columbus for a dining... experience, but we figured we give this place a try tonight. This place is entirely over priced for the food they offer. Ireally feel like if you don’t frequent nicer restaurants, you’d think this place is fine dining and the food is good. I feelwe could’ve gone to a frozen foods section at Kroger’s and find a meal comparable to what they serve here. The service wasmeh. I asked for suggestions and the waitress didn’t seem to know the menu too well. Also took about 10-15 minutes to get asoda refill, my husband saw her hanging out at the bar with the hostess while he was waiting. The spinach dip was really good,but the croutons they serve it with are like rocks. The chocolate cake tasted about a week old. The lobster special they offeredwas bland, pretty sure the lobster was frozen and out of a box. The linguine amatriciana was overwhelmingly overloaded withwith chili pepper. Probably would be a good dish without the chili pepper entirely, and could benefit with red pepper flakes insubstitute. Overall, if they charged less for the food and service they offer, I wouldn’t be too pressed. We got 2 glasses ofwine, a soda, an appetizer, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts, and paid $120 for food that has the same quality of fazolis. Read more
I had the Penne which was really good and more filling than it looked. The bread before the meal was excellent. I had the... Ceasar salad, which was probably the besting tasting Caesar I've had. The total bill for two with no drinks was $86 before tip. The only real turn-off was the very effeminate host. Read more
Food was very good, although some fresh grated parmesan would have been nice. Interesting variety of drinks. Ravioli was made... with short ribs and was very tasty. Chicken Marsala was tender and not dry. Nice location right in the courthouse square. Fortunately there are food runners who bring out your food when it is ready because our server disappeared for long periods oftime. We spent a lot of time between drinks and courses waiting for an opportunity to order more. It was not busy and there wereample servers for the number of patrons. The best local Italian spot! Great food and drinks. We had the spinach and artichoke dip and it was so good! The chicken Alfredo... is the best I've ever had and my wife's steak was good too. Free bread and the drinks were awesome. Quick and friendly service.This will be a new regular spot for date night. Try this place it's great! Read more
Everything was delicious! The pasta was cooked perfectly, they have a nice big wine list to choose from, and the staff were... lovely and helpful. The food came out to us in a timely manner and everyone enjoyed their food. The dessert was also very good!I would highly recommend Tavolo if you are looking for a nice place for date night, because the interior looks so fancy and theprices are pretty reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get. The brunch we had was delicious all the way around - even our girls ate almost everything on their plates! The service was a tad... on the slow side, but it was kinda busy so we understood. Four stars is appropriate! Read more
Service was great..waitress was friendly & helpful & our food was brought out to us within 15mins of ordering. Everything we... ordered was delicious & the beef tips were cooked to perfection. Good portion sizes & everything was reasonably price. Highlyrecommend eating here if u get the chance. Read more
