A pretty decent happy hour! Got "to go" dinner. I've had plenty pupusas in the area; these were super cheesy & delicious. Of... note- the curtido (cabbage salad) has a bit of a kick to it. I ordered the fried rockfish and to my surprise it was below the legal limit (my hand, thumb to pinky spread out, is about 8... inches or so and as you can see that is greater than half of this fish). The legal limit for the 2021 season is 19" for rockfishand this poor fish was about 14" or so. This is unacceptable. 18" I would understand, but 14"??? Complete ignorance. This isobvious poaching and I am disgusted that I funded poaching. I will never come back here just because of this. Im shocked theywere as bold to not even filet the fish to disguise its true size. There is no accountability whatsoever and I hope the supplierand the restaurant get what they deserve for these illegal business practices. Im beyond upset that I ate and paid for anillegal fish. Im morally sick to my stomach. I grew up on the chesapeake bay and this is a deliberate insult to what localfisherman stand for. THERE IS A REASON THERE ARE SIZE LIMITS THEY ARE NOT MADE UP NUMBERS.
