I really wish I could give this place 5 stars because the food is delicious every time I?ve been (more than a handful at this... point) but service matters too. On several occasions I have not only been upsold on a white meat only option that I did not askfor but also rushed to order my food as well. On top of this, they have a $10 minimum for using your card which I find troublingconsidering I had ordered (and paid in advance for) $50 worth of food and when picking it up decided to get a drink which I wastold I could not use the card reader for? I ordered shrimp roti. Is was sooo good. However, the shrimp filling was not wrapped in the roti never had it like that and I... wish the shrimp did not have the tail shell. It was really messy trying to eat it. But it was really good. My daughter had thegoat with peas and rice. It was good but she got a lot of bones, the very small amount of meat was tasty tho. My daughter ordered a beef patty and we were excited given our experience with the food at a recent festival.We were both... disappointed however when our order was delivered . Part of crust on one was burnt and after an attempt to eat the rest, it wasclear that the entire patty was dry , inside and out, and in the words of my daughter" the worst beef patty I've ever had". Island Quizine has delicious Jamaican food! My delivery orders are always on time, hot, and flavorful. I usually order: Brown... stew snapper, Rice and Peas, and Cabbage. They offer a large variety of desserts and drinks as well. I visit this restaurantfrequently and love the cleanliness and customer service. I also love the large portions and the secure packaging for pick uporders. The menu has many options to include callaloo, plantains, jerk chicken, salt fish, curry chicken, and snapper. Ordered through DoorDash and received cold chick pea patty, Jam Jam shrimp that didn?t taste like the other locations (don?t... advertise as a franchise if your not using the same recipe). I cold have lived passed that but my strawberry shortcake Ireceived had visible mold on it so you can image what I smelled when I open it up to look closely at the mold. Island Quizine is nice restaurant. It's clean and appears sanitary. I ate the callaloo and salt fish and had a taste of the jerk... chicken. The callaloo was tasty but a bit too salty. The jerk chicken is also tasty but not like authentic jerk. There's alwaysroom for improvement but I think it's a good start. We need more Caribbean restaurants in area. Read more
