Food is excellent. Large portions. Clean restaurant. Restrooms are also clean. Service was fast. The staff courteous. Decor is... simple with some African instruments and games. I heard about Koite Grill from the Washington Post issue, and knew I had to try this restaurant. I drove today from Arlington to... Silver Spring and met with a nice lady at the cashier that gave us the menu. Many dishes to choose from, my sister and I finallysettled with Thiebou Dienne, Dibi Meat (Lamb option) with plantains, and Degue as dessert. OH MY GOOOOOODNESS!!!! Just tastingthe rice brought us back to our African motherland! It felt like I took a quick trip to Senegal. The smokiness of the rice wasunbelievable, the fish was succulent, the Lamb was carefully seasoned and grilled, even the fried plantains deservedpraises. So I went here not knowing what to expect, but the reviews were so good so I had to try. My honest opinion. Wow. The food was... so tasty and flavorful. The meat was so tender and soft and the rice was so yummy. I will definitely be coming back here soon!!All their meat is halal just FYI! The only downside is their food takes a little while to come out but hey you can't rushamazing food! Read more
It pains me to add this negative review but I must. I paid for a thiebou dieune. When I got home about to have my meal I... noticed they cheated me out of my cut of fish! So disappointing!!!
