This place was on my list for the longest and finally got a chance to try it. For starters the food is simply tasty ! Just so... good. I ordered the djon djon came with a side of plantains. My only thing is I would say the food fairly pricy for what I’mused to - in Florida. For my cocktail, I ordered the punch 9/10. The location is pretty nice. Staff is nice and friendly.Overall 8/10 Read more

Very nice and friendly front staff and a great conversation about Haiti with the Brother. I'll be honest I went for the black... rice and were notified that it's more of a weekend staple. Tried a few other things including the smoked herring pate which wasdelicious and extremely spicy (Nice!!) Tried the wings as well and they were different with an almost escovitch style topping!Well done and the Haitian beers although brewed in Holland (lol) were tasty as well. Nice experience and will return on theweekend for some of that black rice! Read more

I love this place! My wife set is up to learn Haitian cooking for our anniversary and it was wonderful! Chef Berto is an amazing... host and an excellent cook. He was endearing, funny, a fantastic advocate of Haitian culture, and the kind of guy you’d liketo get a drink with. The food he taught us to cook was so delicious and we learned about some of the beauties of Haitianculture. I strongly encourage you to check this place out- it’s a local gem???? Read more

We were last to arrive for a party of 9 total people, the largest group in the place. When we sat at our table, I asked for the... menu and was told to scan the QR code on the opposite side of the table. Because there was only one QR code at the far end on atable of 9 people, I decided to ask for another one. That’s when the problems I noticed began. The restaurant only had 1available QR code for our table, and maybe 2-3 total for the entire restaurant. It was so bad that they never honored by requestfor an additional one, and even came to our table within 15 minutes and asked us if we were done using ours so they could use itfor another table. Afterward a waiter came to our table (of 9) and started taking our orders. As people attempted to order, heroutinely interrupted them to tell them that the requested entree was not available. After denying multiple items, he settledinto his denial and rattled off item after item that was unavailable, eventually letting us know that 80-90% of the menu was notavailable. We’re kept our cool and asked him what they could make, then we ordered it. We all waited for our food for overan hour, despite the fact that we were one of the first groups there. Eventually they brought out undercooked fried plantains, and subpar food to match. My pregnant wife and I were still waiting for our order. I asked how long the wait would be, I got noanswer. The waiter kept saying he’d get back to me, but never did. Eventually I asked to speak to a manager but kept gettingthe runaround by the waiter. Eventually I decided we should leave and try to take our food to-go. I went to “the juice guy”and appealed to him, asking him to summon the manager. 2 hours into the experience, the manager finally arrived. I told him toget me an ETA on our meal or cancel it altogether. He begged us not to cancel our meal, asked me what I ordered, and said he’dbe right back out with an answer. I didn’t see him again for another 75 minutes. During that Read more

It was New Years Day and I needed my Soup Joumou!!! My family is in NY and I hadn't had a chance to try any Haitian restaurants... here since I moved. I heard great reviews about this place and waited till 7 pm when they opened (it was torture waiting thatlong since I wanted me soup early in the day). Love the interior! I forgot to take photos to share but the art work isgorgeous. I wasnt the only one waiting for soup so I knew this could be my Haitian Restaurant of the DMV! I ordered to go and itwas a bit of a wait but it was worth it. I ordered a small soup and plantains. I actually regret not ordering a large soupbecause I had finished it so quickly ???? I definitely will return to dine in and see if the dishes here remind me of my mom'scooking or the Haitian Restaurants of NY that I've been too. Excited for 2022 dine in! Read more

Highly recommended if you are interested in trying Harlan food and drinks. Our order took a while for us to get it but when we... finally did, it was totally worth the wait. The drinks are great, make sure you know what you are ordering or ask thewaitress/staff. Read more

This place has been on my radar for the longest time, and I decided to metro out to Silver Spring specifically to eat here. It... did not dissapoint. Staff was very welcoming and our waiter brought us some amazing rum drinks to start. My main dish was theFried Goat, with a side of Bannan & Pikliz, while my friend had the stewed chicken. Everything was delicious, and it was wellworth the trip. If you're looking for quality Haitian cuisine, this is the spot to go to. Read more
