Great beer selection, and that was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Had Nepenthe's Strange Beast, and the spicy club... burger. Friendly staff, and apparently they have trivia at 7. It's too bad we live about an hour away - I could see us becomingregulars. Read more
This was a cool little place that we kind of stumbled upon. A nifty funky vibe awesome food by the way. Alexander the server was... scooting around the restaurant very hard worker. The food portions are definitely fair I recommend the hot wings and/or theburger that has the egg and bacon on it. I?m sure all of it?s delicious but that?s what I had. I really like this bar. I can?t believe how long it took me to actually try it out! Well I did move to silver spring at like the... peak of the pandemic so maybe it was closed. I think it was closed. Anyway holy heck this place has great beer, great food, andgreat vibes. I feel like there are just constant great jams playing on the juke box. The happy hour prices are legit. The wifeand i got burgers and like 2 to 3 beers each and an appetizer and tater tots and it didn?t feel like we broke the bank (which isgreat for this area). The burgers are friggin delicious! Holy hell though, the after burner burger is HOT. Like I enjoy spicybut this is the first time in living memory I actually took some of the spice off of my burger just so I could finish it. Myintestines are still pretty angry at me the following afternoon. Just a word of warning. The pictured burger in this review is achophouse style? that?s a much safer bet. I honestly can?t wait to go back it?s just that good though. I just know now to sparemy gastrointestinal tract the searing inferno that is the afterburner burger. Read more
Great Dive Bar, keeping it real in the midst of a glass and steel downtown Silver Spring. Draft beer list of about a dozen... rotates seasonally and has something for everyone. Looking for something in particular? There's a massive craft beerlist! Burgers are a mainstay at QH, but try the fried onion rings too. Tater tots are surprisingly good as well. The secret?They set the deep fryer temp high which makes the fried foods crisp and not greasy. Vegan options are available and also tasty.Interesting seasonal offerings keep the menu dynamic and the regulars coming back for more Service is great, prompt andefficient, yet personal. We just happened upon the Quarry House after leaving another restaurant with a bad experience in search of somewhere to eat. We... had my 8 year old daughter and after walking into what seemed like a dark basement and a 2-page food menu, my daughter burstinto tears and we decided to just make the best of it. By the end of our visit, my daughter was all smiles. We even had my 69year old mother-in-law with us and she LOVED her burger. Service was phenomenal, food was delicious, drink choices wereabundant, and the food was cooked in a timely manner and tasted fresh. Prices were great. Any expectation we had was surpassedand we simply cannot believe how lucky we were to have found this place by accident. Well worth a visit! Read more
LOVE IT. it was closed for a while but open now. I've been looking high and low for a potential watering hole, with good beer,... good food, rock music and reasonable prices.
