Hot and Sour soup is delicious, the dumplings are tasty and I enjoy the shrimp roll. I also recommend the salmon skin salad.
Meh- ordered sesame chicken and Shrimp pad thai. The issue is that the sesame chicken was actually not done properly- they use... chicken chunks that are battered and fried- what you would expect for a general tsaos. The sauce was good though, just not doneas it should be. Yes, I know you are all judging me for writing it- but it's true. The shrimp pad thai was sub par. Having ordered from here periodically for almost two years, it's easy to say that the sushi is pretty good for the price and is... always consistent. However, last night on whim I ordered some Chinese to try it out since it's close by and could be deliveredquickly (I usually pick it up but couldn't this time). NEVER order anything other than takeout sushi from this place!! First,the Doordasher didn't even bother to attempt to get in contact with me to get into the building, and left the order outside thebuilding's front door on the ground where it could've easily been stolen. Second, the vegetable dumplings are quite overpricedfor a brand you can easily find in the frozen section of H-Mart. Third, I also got the vegetarian General Tso's chicken, and notonly did the sauce taste solely of vinegar and salt, but there was REAL CHICKEN mixed into the dish!! I had no clue until I bitinto a piece because the coating made it look identical. I'm a pescatarian, so that is a GIGANTIC problem. It only causes me towonder what else on that side of the kitchen goes awry. Sharing this review makes me rather frustrated and sad, as one half ofthe menu is a tremendous letdown from the other. I have spent most of my life in high end fine dining establishments. Red Maple humbled me. We have gotten carry out from this... restaurant over the years and I have always found serenity after our meal. The soft shell crab appetizer is wonderful. Thecrunchiness of the tempura coating along with the spicy rice noodles is heavenly. The tempura appetizer is also cooked toperfection. The shrimp and veggies were as light as a feather. Wow! On to the main coarse, sushi! The fish tasted like it wasjust caught from the sea. The freshness of the fish was unbelievable. We have never had sushi this good - it was as smooth assilk. The wasabi was a karate kick to my taste buds and tear ducts. I can’t wait to land back to this tiny unpretentiousrestaurant. Thank you to the chef and staff. Keep up the good work. Read more
