I used to come to Vegetable Garden when they were located in Rockville. During their last year in Rockville, the quality... declined and I was disappointed. As a result, I haven't been eager to visit their new(ish) location in Silver Spring. Recently,we were in the area and so my lady and I thought we would give them a try. I have to say... I'm really glad we did. Thisrestaurant is a lot smaller than their Rockville location, but it's perfect and quite cozy. This location is actually right inthe Leisure World retirement community. So it's a bit farther from me now, but if I'm in the area - I'd definitely stop in! Wehad... Eight Treasure Eggplant - Diced Eggplant, Shiitake Mushroom, Yellow Squash, Zucchini, Red Bell Pepper, DriedCranberries, Cashew Nuts & Firm Tofu in Spicy Sauce. Garden Feast - Soy & Wheat Gluten Beef, Chicken, Snow Peas, Cauliflower,Broccoli, Shiitake Mushroom, Tomatoes, Carrots, Jicama & Kale in Brown Sauce. Vegetable Soba Noodle - Organic Soba BuckwheatNoodles, Carrots, Snow Peas, Yellow Squash, Black Mushroom, Bean Sprouts, Cauliflower & Broccoli in Light BrownSauce. Everything was so delicious! Just like I remember it being when I first tried them! For dessert, we got the Carrot Cake& Coconut Cake to go. While both desserts were delicious, we both agreed the carrot cake was phenomenal. It was so moist anddelicious. Definitely the BEST vegan carrot cake I have EVER had. It doesn't have nuts or raisins which I really appreciate andthe frosting isn't too sweet. So good! Service is good. They're warm, friendly and helpful when answering questions about themenu. And once you order, the food comes out in a flash. My family loves this place. I?m not a vegetarian but you don?t need to be to appreciate this place. Definitely give the General... Tso ?chicken? a try. I only wish they would stay open a little later :). Read more
Oh many, so many vegan options and so little time. Everything we had was delicious. The desserts are out of this world. I... recomend sharing Entrees so that you can try different things and definitely leave Room to split a few desserts. Read more

INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS! I discovered this place by accident. Needed to find somewhere for me and my little one to eat on the fly... while taking care of my elderly mother. She lives up the street from Leisure World shopping center so I went there to getChinese food and realized it was no longer there and this restaurant had replaced it. Looked over the whole menu before makingmy choice. Decided to go with the curried fried rice. IT WAS INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS! The portion size was enormous, I ate on itfor 3 days. Very easy to find from Georgia Ave., located in the Leisure World shopping center, with tons of parking. It is a sitdown restaurant but I only had time for carry out that day. I recommend Vegetable Garden for vegans and vegetarians. It was a busy night and they were short staffed but the server was able... to bring our appetizers and entrees out in a timely manner. I absolutely loved the crispy mushrooms and lentil soup. Themushrooms were very "meaty" and the flavors were wonderful. The eggplant and soba noodles had the perfect amount of seasoning toexcite my palate. I will be returning! Read more
