Served by the proprietor - cordial, attentive. Dishwasher was doing miles covering front-of-house support, keeping salad bar... stocked. Seldom see salad bars any longer - nice selection of items (craisins!), though I'd have swapped the granola for baconbits. Only issue with the food was that my prime rib - ordered med. rare - came rare. It was seafood night, and I opted for ashrimp/scallop/lobster topper that was small and tasty. My dining companion selected the stuffed haddock with hollandaise sauceand still hasn't stopped raving about it - and my garlic mashed potatoes, which were a 4/5 in my book. BE ADVISED, there is asurcharge for paying with a credit card. (I'm writing this review a week later, and have forgotten what the surchargewas.) Would definitely return. Read more
I just got the four-cheese manicotti today, and was sent off into a heaven of cheese and pasta for the whole evening. The side... is a couple of garlic sticks, which I dunked into the excess sauce, and were really good, too. I've had their 4-piece friedchicken before, as well, and I could not name another place nearby that does juicy fried chicken as well as they do it. This was a very strange experience. I traveled all over in US, Canada and Europe and never was refused to be served a beer or... wine for any reason. Warning to out of state travelers: if you don't have NY drivers license, they will not serve you analcohol. I wonder if this is really legal. What is the reason for this policy? Way too expensive!!!! Charred French onion soup. Waitress did happily fix. No mushrooms on chicken marsala, although menu stated... that was the prep. The "chef" put some sort of granola fruit and veggies mix on top of the chicken. THIS WAS NOT LISTED IN THEMENU!!!! IF a person had allergies to any of those ingredients they could have been severely affected. Please be specific nexttime! Chicken was not breaded. Mashed potatoes were OK. Our server WAS super friendly and she would be the ONLY reason we comeback, but given the overpriced menu this will be unlikely. Seemed like a nice place just not worth a five star cost or rating. Great place to host an event. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Food was great. The seasoning they use on french fries... makes you forget about the other food on your plate. The chicken strip was really good too. They give you plenty of food also.No going home hungry here. Read more
An absolute Gem! Angela . . I'm pretty sure that was her name (she was there at 4pm on 8/21/2020) was so amazing and friendly!... Haven't had this kind of service since I lived in Denver. Honestly I can't say enough good things about her. . . And the food!Wow. Fantastic and fairly priced. We loved the atmosphere and will be back for sure. Coolest place in this town. Read more
