I love this place. This was the first time i visited with my boyfriend and dined inside the restaurant. The decor is homey,... simple, and provides a quaint, casual / business casual environment that offers everything from regular fries to more upscaledishes. Pictured below A warm Irish coffee A New Limberg craft beer (light, refreshing) 1st course 1. Minestrone Soup.beautifully done, lots of fresh ingredients and the soup seasoning is perfect 2. My date had mushroom soup. Creamy, flavourful, rich blend Appetizers 1. Portebello mushroom caps stuffed with cheese, they were beefy mushrooms, seasoned well,not overly salty and absolutely delicious. 2. Arinchini risotto that was deep fried into a ball, dipped in home mademarinara sauce. This place really knows their sauces, and the cooks do a superb job. 2nd course 1. I had vegetarianMediterranean Pasta with tons of soft veggies, artichokes, cooked into a beautiful sauce that amplified the veggie flavours.The pasta was cooked well, not over done or under done at all and seasonings are light, but brightened the dish. 2. my datehad Seafood Creole which he really enjoyed. Great flavours, big portion size, sauce was potent and seasoned well, sea food wasfresh, cooked perfectly. The wait staff were pleasant, kind, friendly and we were seated quickly. In terms of food and service this is a solid 4 star restaurant. To start, the GF and I shared the mussels. We had 1 mussel that... didn't open but other then that no complaints. For my main I had the lasagne which comes with a soup or salad; I had the soup dujour which was delightful. The lasagna was good but not exceptional and not a huge serving for your $20+ (even with theaccompanying side). GF had a creole seafood pasta and side salad. She suggested it was enjoyable but nothing to write homeabout. Would consider returning on my next visit to Simcoe. Read more
Lovely Italian restaurant surrounded in their community by many chains but they offer a more authentic experience. 1st time... eating in with vaccination proof. No problem whatsoever. Dinner was quite good, I had cannelloni and quite enjoyed it. Read more
Absolutely everything was delicious! We had the calamari, and mozzarella sticks for appetizers. The seafood creole and build... your own pasta for mains. Then, the turtle cheesecake, and tiramisu for dessert. Every single plate was made fresh from scratch,the food was filled with flavour. Portions were generous. Pricing was great.
