Maple Tree has a very nice outdoor dining setup. Good food and a nice selection of brews. The open mic every Wednesday is very... well run and artists of all ages and genres are welcomed by the core set of regulars. You will hear a variety of classics andoriginals too. Read more

What horrible service!! At 7pm we were turned away by a rude,snotty waitress/hostess who asked us if we had reservations. We... did not. "I guess we could seat you in the banquet area"., with an eyeroll...There were tables open, and it wasn't very busy. Wehad no reservations, so planned on grabbing a drink at the bar and waiting for a table, like normal establishments. The banquetarea was basically tables with employees belongings and the bands equipment storage... Lol...with that poor business sense, it'samazing the place was so busy. I again asked another equally snotty waitress about a table in the main area. She actually said,"we're not taking names for tables, most of these people will be here all night"!? Are you absolutely joking?????!!! This placeused to be special to me, as my fiance and I reconnected at this very establishment. I will never set foot in there again sadly. Read more
Today I visited the maple tree. Upon entering I was greeted by a bar keep who politely asked me what I was drinking. I started... with a water and browsed the menu. Since pretzels are my favorite snack, I decided to try it out, and underestimated the size ofthe JUMBO pretzel. It came with a solid portion of cheese and honey mustard. Deliciously buttered and salted. I washed it downwith a margarita made with espolon, my favorite cocktail. A peaceful environment, quiet on a Tuesday afternoon, which isexpected. Twenty dollars for poached eggs and medium well steak. You can see the eggs are clearly not poached, they're totally hard boiled... (without a shell). Mother's day special?! Took forty five minutes for kids' meals to arrive, with half of our meals, another tenfor the rest of the meals. My daughter had to watch her cousins eat while she sat there hungry (because the kitchen can'tdeliver food so at once?), another five for syrup. The"steak" is about five or six ounces BEFORE cooking. The medium well was acharcoal brick. The menu claimed fresh fruit and pastry with each, but the waitress claims simply, "No pastry!" Sorry, I askedabout your menu. But it was busy! Nope... Not until we'd been here for an hour. This place needs to either not do this, or do itright. My wife, the MOTHER of my kids, on MOTHER'S day for A MOTHER'S day brunch, didn't get her whole order. Repeatedly askedfor her bacon. Perhaps the waitress will simply answer, "No bacon!" Doesn't matter... Waitress is missing in action. I wouldn'teven call this place a dive bar. Stay away. McDonald's would be better. (I wouldn't actually know, I don't eat at McDonald's,but I'd assume they'd get the order right.) Update, hour and a half after we ordered, a half hour after we got food, wheneverybody was leaving, SHE GOT HER BACON!!! It was super greasy, smashed together. Totally unappetizing. That's the thirdpicture. That's bacon. I swear. Another update, someone in my party asked about the pastries as well, to which (I'm assuming)the manager responded, "we crossed off all the menus, you must have gotten one we missed." What a joke. Needed a quick lunch before a show and saw this place on line. Had less than an hour for lunch, sat at the bar and had great... service and both meals were really really good! Extremely satisfied and wish we had more time to stay and relax. Will def goback next time we're in town! Read more
