Came to the area for a weekend and stopped here on a Monday morning our way home. Best choice ever! I want to start by saying... how amazing the service was! We were a party of 6 + an active toddler, and the staff was so patient, kind and helpful. The fooditself is incredible as well, everything from the unique coffee varieties, to the popovers and omelettes, to the waffles andbaked goodies. Everything we ordered (and we ordered a lot) was delicious. I am so sad I didn’t take any pictures to sharewith this review, but the food was honestly so good, I didn’t even think about it in the moment. Huge five stars. And thankyou! Read more

I also tried a warm popover for the first time and I got the maple cinnamon latte, hot. Everything was delicious. I evenhad to share with my 1 year old and she loved the soup and sandwich! The food, service, and facility was great! Yummy healthyfood, kind attentive and patient service, what more do you want? Read more

After a friends wedding the night before and a stay at the Simsbury Inn, my hubby and I went for brunch at Popover Bistro &... Bakery. We were blown away with, not only how delicious their coffee and food was, but also how cute this beautiful littlebakery was! They say you eat with your eyes first, and the sweet treats and chalkboard coffee menu on the walls were so easy toread and order from. We knew exactly what we wanted just minutes after arriving inside. Not to mention the amazing selection ofGF items really warmed my heart and tummy to see! As someone with celiac disease, it's hard to find a place with GF options buttheir breakfast bowl hit the spot and settled well! Their golden spice latte with oatmilk was warm and comforting! When checkingout I couldn't leave without taking home their GF lemon ricotta raspberry cake slice! 10/10 recommend, can't wait to go back andtry more! (Wish I would've taken more pictures)! Stopped into Popover Bistro & Bakery in Simsbury and grabbed some take out. Hubby is vegan we chose this restaurant after... checking the menus online and seeing all off the choices they offered for him. I went with the veggie hash it was loaded withsweet potatoes, carrots, Brussels, broccoli, zucchini sautéed onions and wonderful roasted tomatoes. All of the veggies wereperfectly cooked not a one that was too hard or soft. The seasoning and roasted tomatoes were perfection. I of course had tohave a popover. Perfectly crisp outside light and airy inside it conjured up childhood memories of popovers made by a favoriteaunt for holiday dinner simply wonderful. The very dangerous bakery case is located right by where you order, I glanced overlong enough for the carrot cake to start calling my name. Who am I to resist? Moist and flavorful with just the right amount offrosting well worth every delicious calorie. My husband opted for the Vegan Power bowl, shredded kale, quinoa, toastedchickpeas, roasted broccoli and cauliflower, shredded carrot and falafel with pomegranate dressing. He absolutely loved it. Wewill definitely be back. He noticed they have a vegan waffle last time he found one of those at a restaurant we were inBrussels, Belgium Read more

I came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning With a small group of friends. We were lucky to see an Open Table when we walked... in since the place was pretty busy. We ordered some specialty drinks like like the chai latte and also a Holiday cocktail. Wealso got 2 breakfast sandwiches and the Simsbury feast platter. The food was really good, also the portions were pretty big. Iwill say that it was pretty slow to come out, and the drinks were pretty slow to be made as well but but overall it was stilldelicious and a cute spot to sit in and spend time with friends. Our server was so nice and made sure to check on us. I'drecommend to stop in. Read more

One rule I learned over years of dining is if you go to a restaurant that offers something in their name.. order it because it... won’t disappoint! If it’s your first visit, definitely try a Popover’s popover! I mean it’s right there in theirname! Great breakfast/lunch/brunch spot! Simsbury charm with healthier options; however, it’s hard to resist that world-classpopover! Yesterday, my meal was fantastic as always! I shared the soup du jour, watermelon gazpacho with jalapeño served witha beautiful giant popover accompanied with butter mixed with honey; side of buffalo cauliflower with vegan ranch that was to diefor; and the big vegan bowl full of protein and greens! The blood orange margarita and mango mimosa were delish and it’s easyto tell they’re made with nothing artificial, so you don’t feel too guilty. ???? Love Popover Bistro & Bakery, keep up thegood work! Read more
