This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in my life. Service: Staff was friendly. Our waitress was very kind and... kept our beverages full. Food: Everything I tried that was supposed to be hot, was hardly warm. From the biscuits you couldchip your tooth on, to the Mac and cheese that tasted like cardboard mush. All the food outside of the desserts was nearlyinedible. The desserts were okay, but with the vibe of the restaurant and my experience up to that point, I couldn't enjoy athing. Although the price was a good deal. The food we good and with a large selection. The food waste was completely mind bogglingly... insane. I'm looking around at the staff throwing plates and plates of food away and it blew my mind. I asked the waitress if Iwas able to pay extra to take our leftover food home. She said no, that's not an option, "we are not even allowed to take foodhome". I then asked if I could speak to the manager. I said Hey I'm wondering do you just throw the food away or do you give itto local pig farmers? I asked because I do have a pig farming friend. He looked at me like I was crazy and said "we take care ofit". He then rolled his eyes and walked away. I'm not some earth activist worried about my carbon footprint by all means. The woman who was at the cash register to take our money, you can tell she was just thrilled to be there- NOT! She wasn?t the... friendliest. The waitress we had who got our drinks and took care of our dishes, she was very friendly and helpful. The foodwas ok? I was expecting it to taste better than it did. Just looked like a lot of stuff sat out way too long. Probably won?t goback. Also, this was my first time ever going to a Golden Corral. A little on the disappointed side. Was expecting better. If only I can leave a 0 on the star. Worse place ever. Service is not the best. Seat anywhere they say. We sat with my family,... and they told us we couldn?t seat there. Ok then tell us where? The food is horrible. Chicken not cooked well and meat was sosalty. Pizza feels like plastic. Don?t break a tooth. Should has known. Parking was empty and empty restaurant. Should haveguess right. This place is mediocre at best. The food wasn't good at all, I think the best thing I had was the salad but even that was going... brown. the fried fish was undercooked as well and that's a big NO NO.. also this place was dingy and run down. We definitelywon't be coming back here.. Read more
People make the difference so often. I felt that the staff was good overall but our waitress (Sherry) was a hit with all the... patrons she tended to around us. We have a large family with 6 younger kids and often waitresses are standoffish. This was notthe case for Sherry. She made sure we were happy, and taken care of. Excellent waitress! I was also pleasantly surprised atthe food quality in comparison to other Golden Corral restaurants we have frequented recently. The food was hot and fresh andamazingly the steak didn?t have a gamy aftertaste like many have. I docked a star because business as usual appears to includeneglecting the buildings. Now the store wasn?t as bad as many but I will let the pictures speak Note the The AC vent is bentin the ceiling, the wall is separating in the dining room. I noticed that the door to the men?s bathroom does not shut properlyand is dragging on the floor and starting to peel from the bottom up. The stall door in the men?s room was hanging and bouncing off the other latch portion of the wall. The wall by the serving station is separated and coming apart. And I noticedon the bakery side of the restaurant the ceilings have lots of dust on ceiling and vents. It was pretty clean overall incomparison to others. Read more
I wish I?d read the reviews. This place is awful. I brought my family here for a triple birthday meal. Cold and dried out... food. The selection was limited to begin with. The chicken had feathers as did the Mexican rice. Every trip up to get awell-done steak for my daughter was rewarded with a bloody piece of salty meat. I spit out three different meat selections intonapkins because of a rancid taste. Thanks for ruining my wife?s, son?s, and daughter?s birthday meals. On the bright side,some flies buzzing us(it?s December 29 and 5 degrees outside) seemed to be enjoying the fare. I wonder where the flies arecoming from? Read more
I have to give the server credit and kudos for knowing which foods were gluten free. Many foods were not but the fresh fruit,... salads and plain foods like mashed potatoes, green beans etc. were fine. They had lots of food for the number of people in thestore. Over all it was good, but sometimes some sat a little too long. Read more
