Service is good, and I love the look feel and cleanliness of the restaurant, but the food is just meh. It's like the menu is all... over the place and doesn't really seem to have anything on the menu that is spectacular. I would compare the menu to like anApplebee's or some generic restaurant. Last time we went, the food was fine, nothing to write home to mom about, and my frieslooked and tasted like they'd went to McDonald's Earlier in the day and then just put them under a heat lamp for 10 hrs. Theywere old cold by the time we got them. We also got the burnt end nachos appetizer, it was tasty, but almost something I couldhave gotten at a concession stand at an explorers game. Not a big fan of the food. The restaurant is pretty cool but the foodneeds some help I think. We probably won't go back. Read more
This was one of the best places I have ever eaten. My family and I were so exhausted after a long day of driving when we finally... decided to stop in Sioux City! After looking at about 7 food places, we FINALLY stumbled across SoHo (I?m convinced it wasfate), which was by far the best food place we had looked at. We ordered 2 appetizers which we assumed would be small, but theywere HUGE!! The nachos alone would have been a meal, and on top of that they were STELLAR!! We also got the brussel sproutswhich were to die for, my mom and I still try to replicate them at our house (unfortunately we have never nailed it). Theservice was GREAT!!! My dad who is quite the critic of steak, raves about how good it was at SoHo! Unfortunately I live 8 hoursaway from here, but I am seriously considering driving there for my birthday dinner! We tried this place on Historic Fourth Street in Sioux City. The character of the old historic building added a great deal of... charm. We had been there before and had good experiences. They have a great menu with something for everyone. We appreciatedtheir lunch specials. My mom ordered the hot beef dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy. It came with a side salad. Goodportions and very delicious. I got the grilled chicken, bacon salad. It was a big salad with lots of crispy bacon, veggies,cheese, and the grilled chicken was very good. I was in town visiting my brother in hospital, went to Soho for lunch, the menu said half pound burgers, so I kinda expected a... plump burger, fat in the middle, a little pink, and juicy. It was anything but, flat and dry, reminded me of a hockey puck, itwas clearly a frozen patty that was prepared earlier with a bunch of other ones, then put in a steamer pan for quick serving. It's a nice place, and the staff was very friendly. However, the kids chicken tenders meal we ordered had one chicken tender.... The kids spaghetti was blah. The french fries that came with both were very good. I had a buffalo burger and sweet potato fries.The patty itself was not the best, but it was still a pretty good sandwich altogether, and the sweet potato fries were verygood. Also, a heads up that if you look at the menu on their website, it does not match their actual menu. I asked the waitressabout it, and she said they don't have control of that website anymore.
