GARYS CAFE, SIREN WISCONSIN CLEAN RESTAURANT AWARD ???? FRESH CLEAN HOT FOOD AWARD ???? Stopped by for lunch Friday July 15th... around 1:15 pm. Great cafe atmosphere, very clean store. Had a super waitress with a big smile and a great story about living inthe woods with her chickens!! We ordered the days? special, Fish and fries with coleslaw, and the Mushroom Swiss burger andfries. Also a side salad. Everything was amazingly fresh, the food came out piping hot, steaming and delicious. The special ofthe day was the Fish and fries. The breading was thin, not over-seasoned and very delicious. I asked for a slice of lemon too.The fries were nicely seasoned, and the coleslaw was a tiny bit bland for my taste, but it was very fresh and crunchy with aMayo-based dressing. I finished it all. The burger was magnificent. Juicy with a large portion of dripping melted Swiss cheeseover a pile of sautéed mushrooms, and lettuce & tomato as you?d expect. Also the same seasoned fries were included. My friendsaid it was one of the best burgers they?d ever had. The seasoning in the beef patty was excellent (patties are hand-patteddaily and you can tell). In the picture, the burger was cut in half because it was huge and juicy! Great breakfast. The staff was pleasant, the food was delicious. The atmosphere was so loud had a difficult time enjoying my... meal. Without carpet or other sound absorbing materials, everything echoes and becomes very loud. Read more
Delicious chocolate chip pancakes. We had a nice server but an older lady server gives the place its name - rude. Next time... we?ll keep driving to Burnett?s Dairy Cooperative which has a cafe and super nice staff. Read more
Ruudes cafe truly has awesome food!! Hands down it is the best for miles around. However...it takes more than just the food to... have a great experience. As a customer you should feel welcomed, treated with kindness. That isn't always the case ???? It canbe an easy fix and hopefully it will be because they could truly have an amazing thing going!! Few employees running a full restaurant. The lead server was stressed, tired and therefore rude. The kids running the front... were fantastic. Took a while to get our food but seeing the two cooks busting their butts in the open window kept my concernslow. Food finally came along with the monster pancakes. FOOD WAS AMAZING! Over medium eggs were perfect, the biscuits and gravy were okay, and hashbrowns bland - tasted oily. Didn't get the pancakes but... they were very large and look delicious. Read more
