Been coming to Aspen Lakes for close to 30 years every year in early September with a group of about 3O-40 on average. Always... enjoyed the hospitality and the course in most cases but this year restaurant wasn't even open (but they opened the bar for us)when we finished, on a Sunday!?! Wednesday to Saturday is their restaurant schedule. Not only that, they bumped our tee time onehalf hour without letting us know and didn't include range balls or wouldn't give us the keys to the carts until close to ourtime. Very strange, but when you have loyal return customers spending that much money you think they would be a little morehospitable. Needless to say, we may not return next year. I understand all businesses are having trouble finding people to work,but when you're spending that much money in a group for entertainment and fun, a business should come through. We're from out of town so it was our first time here. Beautiful golf course, had a lovely time. The staff was really nice and... chill. There was a guy who hangs out at the first hole to brief you on the course if needed, tells you what you need to know,answers questions you might have and tells you what time the next group is due so you know how much time you have. I'm not agolfer (my daughter is), so I don't know if this is a normal service, but I loved it, and the man was really nice. The gal thatdrove the drink cart around was super friendly as well - loved her! My daughter golfed and my other daughter and I drove thegolf cart and listened to Bob Marley. We had a great time! Wasn't crowded either - always love that! We would definitely goback again. Read more
This course is WAAAY overrated, and overpriced. Played yesterday and the course needs some serious watering. Some of the tee... boxes were basically just dirt with a few small patches of dry yellow grass. Fairways are not well maintained. Absolutely noway they should be charging $80 for 18 holes and a cart. I've played much better maintained courses for almost half that. Nota good experience. Read more
Staff are friendly. Course is beautiful. Prices are reasonable. The backdrop mountain range brings it to 4.8 stars. Makes me... want to live in Sisters OR. Bathroom is nice but was unkept. One toilet for mens room. Dont hesitate to come enjoy this place. Read more
First time playing Aspen Lakes and it was a real mixed bag. Don?t understand why the fairways and greens were so dry and are not... being maintained properly. One of the tee boxes was so dry you couldn?t even get a tee into it. The course has not crowded andhas some beautiful views and plays very long and even good golfers will find the course challenging. I don?t like the way theyhave you start on a five par rather than a four. Nice looking clubhouse but food and drinks are unavailable on Monday andTuesday. Oh also they have the Toptracer system on the driving range but in addition to paying for your balls they want you topay $10 more to use the App, it is free at Rivers Edge in Bend. Sadly overall you do get the feeling that it is a golf coursethat is on the decline. Read more
The course was in pretty good shape after last year's irrigation pump breakdown. Greens & some tees are a work in progress. ... Excellent staff & gorgeous views! We'll be back. Read more
