Not a sit down and eat restaurant. Tried a couple of sandwiches which were good. But I really wanted a hot corned... beef/pastrami sandwich. Not sure if they have that option. Very good creamy coleslaw and beef chopped liver. Want more. Willdefinitely be back for second helpings. Nosh nosh nosh. Read more

Unbelievably good sandwiches. I went with the pastrami and corned beef on an onion roll. Service was quick. Sandwiches come... massive! I could not finish the whole thing. I also got a side of cucumber and dill salad with some chips. Prices are right forwhat you get. Huge bakery selection that I'm definitely coming back to indulge in. Read more

My wife is Jewish and her parents used to come here when she was a little girl. Today, we came in with our 3 kids. This is such... a nice place. The smells alone are worth a stop in. We got sandwiches and she was so happy to get a bunch of different breadsand other treats. What a sweet visit. Everyone working there was very nice, very welcoming. Deangelo working by the delicounter was very patient, as our kids were crazy and we were indecisive and just happy to be there. He was genuinely friendlyand patient with us. I really appreciated that because sometimes our kids make people lose patience but he made us all feelwelcome and not rushed. Thank you for that good service, sir. We will come back soon! Thank you for making our family feel sowelcome. What a nice place. Read more

Just wanted to say that I had an excellent meal from Kaufman?s today. The pastrami sandwich was delicious and packed with meat!... The lox and bagel was delicious! I also got a piece of mandel bread which was very good, but I will admit that I prefer mymother?s! Overall, great food and just know that there isn?t seating there. Read more

When my usual place was so crowded they didn't even seem interested in taking my pick up order, I went looking for another spot... for my lox and bagel fix and man, was I rewarded for the effort. My sandwich was fantastic, and the slice of pumpkin cake Igrabbed from the cooler was to die for. I'll definitely be coming back to try other things and bringing my husband with me. Read more

Huge, filling portions for their deli sandwiches! I always get the David's CJF and love their sable. Prices aren't cheap, but... Kaufman bagels are a tradition for my family any time we're passing through Skokie. The flavored cream cheeses and whitefishsalad make for excellent toppings. Also nice to have some NY favorites, though the rugelach and black & whites aren't somethingto write home about and I prefer the bakery goods from NY Bagel & Bialy. Service was absolutely packed on a Saturday afternoonand the ordering process can mean even more of a wait. Forget anything about social distancing because there was barely room forthe deli line without pouring outside. Navigating through the aisles for other products can also be tricky with so many peoplewaiting around, and the same for getting through the bakery area. Though COVID has certainly had an impact on the serviceindustry, I've known some of the employees in the past to be rushed and stressed before that was a worry, and service is morestrained now. Everyone was nice, but it was hectic and the deli could do well to hire a few more hands; the prices could warrantit. Read more

The deli meat here is phenomenal! It?s all made in house and not too salty at all. The sandwiches are ample and generous. I will... be back for sandwiches for sure. The rugelach are so lackluster. PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE. There isn?t enough filling and they arerolled too thick. The other place on Touhy has better rugelach and coconut macaroons. Bagels aren?t my favorite from here butgood. They are old school super dense and chewy. Read more
