My group of 16 was in town for a conference at Northeastern Illinois University and we were blown away by the high quality of... service and food at Libertad. They were quickly responsive to our request for a large party dinner reservation on short noticeand accommodated us very comfortably. We ate family style and got to try at least half of their menu, including cocktails, starters, mains and desserts, and truly enjoyed all of it - bold flavors and versatile options. We loved being able to support alocal Latinx business and bring our community together in their space. Read more

Latin American food gone exquisite! Libertad never fails and always has something new. Drinks are a mix of old world and new... world, Negroni with a twist of Latin, Caipito with a European twist. We had hummus with a spicy taste, a chile poblano Asianstyle( tempura instead of capeado) wow! My fav gone bistró flautas with tinga and the red onions in escabeche. And a nicechocolate dessert with a homemade vanilla bean ice which was bay far better than my fav from the corner of Dempster and Skokieblv. Maybe next time we can have a Carajillo to close the delicious dinner. Read more

damn, this place is great. I just came in to get out of the heat and have a couple beers before heading home, but I loved the... amuse-bouche so much I HAD to order some food and man, I was not disappointed. bartender was rocking it the entire time, shewas cool as hell and capable of rocking service bar + guests at the bar without dropping a single note. all the staff seemedhyper competent - always great but truly impressive in our modern age of staff shortages and general service industrybrain-drain. honestly, one of the best experiences I've had out in ages. I'll definitely be back here, didn't get to see theirpatio which looks great. Read more

Such a pleasant surprise! Food was delightful, service helpful and attentive and cocktails a lovely complement. I appreciated... that the vegetarian options weren’t an afterthought. They were varied and filling. The desserts were a highlight - not toosweet and somehow light. I will 100% come back again, happily. I have one small note - char on the cauliflower would be nice.Other than that, I literally scraped every bit off the plate. Read more

Libertad reminds me of the nice contemporary Mexican restaurants in Mexico City. ????????Everything was very good, but I think... my fave was the octopus with crispy chickpeas, spicy sausage and fingerling potatoes. The flavors mixed together in a magicalway. I also loved the creamy lobster/shrimp/muscles dish. It wasn’t too rich and the seafood wasn’t over cooked. ?The mezcalpineapple cocktail with tajin was nice, but had a little too much ice. My only criticism is that the tuna appetizer was not asflavorful as other raw tunas I’ve eaten (including in CDMX). Two plates and an appetizer would be enough for two people. Theservice was great. We had a Sunday brunch here but I was disappointed with my quinoa bowl with grilled chicken. Everything was good except for the... chicken, the star of the dish.i actually liked my friends poached eggs with chimichurri much much more than my dish. Read more

Ordered the Skillet during brunch and it was tasty. Loved the flavor and it wasn’t too heavy. Will definitely come back. If... you’re a tea lover, don’t do it lol. Pretty expensive for basic Stash tea ????????? Read more
