Thatcher\'s has been under new ownership for a couple of seasons now and I\'m still trying to decide if it is good as it was... before. A couple of the issues we\'ve seen could be attributed to the global supply chain problems and not new ownership sowe\'re still checking it out. The Loaded Baked Potato was one of the go to options though the size of the Potato seems to besmaller than the previous owners but we haven\'t given up hope this may be a fluke or supply issue. Nachos are a good choice aswell... try them with chips on the side so your chips don\'t get soggy for the leftovers you will definitely have. On my mostrecent visit a tried the street tacos and chose one with each of the three meat choices. They were very good and combined withmy side item the portion was about perfect. Original, mild and hot versions of the BBQ sauce are on the tables so you can haveas much or as little as you desire. The small dining area can fill up fast during busy weekends and it\'s quite loud and hard tohear when full. If you catch it at a more quiet time it is quite pleasant. Read more
After a day of hiking Thatcher BBQ is a awesome way to end it. The BBQ was delicious, large portions, and the staff were so... friendly and polite. The atmosphere was inviting and the 60 and 70\'s rock music was a great added touch. I was driving so Ididn\'t partake in the many mixed drinks and varieties of alcohol they have to offer but there were plenty to choose from. Idefinitely give this place 5 stars and a big recommendation. I will be returning, this time with a designated driver ;) Read more

Very well could be the best smoked meat my son and I have ever tasted. The brisket was mouth watering, it\'s a must!!! Nachos... were a mountain of food and so yummy, no real way to eat them all on your own. Fast and correct service. Glad we stumbled uponthis hidden gem, no doubt about it, next visit to the gorge includes a stop here to get my grub on. Read more
This is the best food in town!! We tried various restaurants and take out while in Slade, but this is by far our favorite. The... staff was friendly, the food was fairly priced, and the food was delicious. This loaded potato was HUGE! My husband ordered theBBQ sundae, and I wish I got a picture before he dug into it. My wife and I stopped in a couple weeks ago. Staff was super friendly, and the food was outstanding! We were on motorcycles that... day and we noticed the portion sizes on the tables, so we got the 2 meat combo and split it. It was the perfect size for two toshare! We\'ll be stopping in every time we go to the gorge. Read more

If I lived near here I would eat here like minimum 3 days a week. The meats are all perfectly tender, the nachos, coleslaw, and... made in house sauces... So good! The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is super clean. Highly recommend. Read more
