We really enjoyed the atmosphere and history of the Slippery Rock location. The hostess was amazingly busy, but organized and... efficient at getting everyone the table of their choice. The wait staff really is interested in sharing the history of theplace and even an additional story about portions being haunted. The food had great flavor and was a reasonably priced. Sincewe were full from the pretzel appetizer and our meals, we took the pumpkin cheese cake to go. While it was good, it was overpriced at $10.00. Read more
We decided to eat here after a hike in McConnells Mill State Park. We were warmly welcomed and invited to a tour of the brewery.... Nice and friendly service. I chose the Beer Mac 'n' Cheese with Pulled Pork. It was very delicious. The dark beer tastes almostas good as it does here in Germany. I can recommend the brewery. Read more
We went here after hiking in Moraine State Park and this place hit the spot. We were disappointed that they just ran out of the... beer bread but we got the hummus and that was really tasty. I got the Prime on Beck with sweet potato fries and that wasdelicious. My boyfriend got the Buffalo chicken Mac n cheese and said it was alright but he’s never had any luck with Mac ncheese anywhere. The beer was decent and the waitress was super friendly. They also let us sit outside with our dog, which wasreally nice. Overall, this was a good dinner spot for us and we would visit again when back in the area! Read more
My boyfriend and I wanted to make a spontaneous late night trip to go out to eat and saw they were one of the only places open... and going to be. We arrived and we’re seated by the host, who was super sweet. Chase was our server, and was honestly one ofthe best we’ve ever had. He told us the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes but he would put our order through regardless. Ourfood came out quick and it was amazing! My boyfriend had the pulled pork sandwich and I had a burger. When Chase brought ourfood, he told us he personally put my boyfriend’s fries down and they’d be out in a bit. Towards the end, we joked aboutworking in the restaurant industry and how we both coincidentally met our significant others at the place we worked at! Wait staff and hostess were very friendly and attentive. Bar tenders were friendly as well. For as many people that recommended... this place to us, we would have thought the food would have been on par. It may have been an off day but my burger bordered onrare when asked for Medium and the fries had some kind of seasoning that made them taste very sugary. They didn't have a lot ofour choices of beer when asked. My burger ended up being The Drunken Bison because of lack of Elk. The waitress also seemedflustered as well as the food runners as we were repeatedly brought food/drinks that we didn't order. Again, hope it was an offday. We may try again if we are ever in the area again as it was recommended by more than one person. Read more
My favorite all time brewery. The food is excellent and as locally sourced as it gets. The beer is always good with a wide... variety from light ales to dark stouts and from IPAs to a fruity or sour beer. You will find something you will love. Theyalso brew their own (non-alcoholic) root beer and cream soda that is amazing. I am sad that the Hummus Plate got sidelined tothe "specials" menu... and that it lost the feta cheese and olives... it was still good with the warm pita bread and grannysmith apples but the feta and olives took it over the top. I am in town for a training locally and this place was recommended to me and was the best recommendation ever! Love the... atmosphere, the hostess and the waiter were SO friendly and helpful, the beer was good, and the food was delicious. I was hereon a Monday so I got to watch trivia and everyone was having a great time with it. I also give them props because not a lot ofrestaurants handle a single guest well (most want to shove us awkwardly at the bar or feed us quickly and get us out) but noneof that was the case here. They accommodated my need for a separate food and bar tab and treated me like any normal guest. Will definitely return when I'm back this direction! Read more
I stopped in with friends after a local group run. Our waiter and the new service manager were so friendly. The good was great,... and there was live music. There is always a great selection on tap. I tried the lemongrass sour. It’s a wonderful beer ifyou’re into sours. Also, the Slippery Rock Creek Hazy IPA is fantastic if you’re a Hazy IPA kind of person. It’s myfavorite on tap right now.
