Great experience, we came into town in the late afternoon and went to Alpenhorn as it was one of the few places open. Shout-out... to Alex for the greay service and for taking the time to explain to us the menu and accommodate and recommend items to ourtaste. Service, atmosphere and food was great. Read more
Very friendly staff. It was so reassuring that they took time to verify our vaccine status before seating. Great food and unique... to the area. Lots of variety on the menu. Salmon Dip, Gnocchi, Beef Dip and local brews were perfect for a cool day. Marisa wassuper in helping us choose menu items and was very attentive. We will return! Read more
Despite the smaller staff, we had a great experience with our visit. The food was very tasty, no complaints. Didn't have to wait... long for our service, the timing on the food was very respectful. Club house ( I do prefer clubs with chopped turkey or chickeninstead of a grilled breast) with a salad and house maple vinaigrette, washed it down with a wonderful Kilkenny ale. Cheers tillnext time. I spend alot of time working in smithers and up until now the Alpenhorn has been one of my favorite places to frequent. Food is... always delicious and on time. Today I ordered potatoe skin appetizer with my meal and asked for extra BBQ sauce. I picked up mymeal and drove back to my travel trailer outside of town only to discover my potatoe skins were undercooked and completelylacking any sauce besides the small amount BBQ flavored juice attached to the pulled pork. Now normally I wouldnt write a reviewlike this, but when I called to inform them that the Appy I recieved was very disappointing i was just told thank you for theinformation. No offer to remake the meal or anything. I would have settled for even some small discount off one futureappetizer. The cost of eating out is getting higher and higher, restaurants are requesting higher tips than before. I don't feelit's wrong to expect compensation for an awful appetizer when I paid almost $20 for it.
